So far everything has been great. Assembly was pretty straight forward. No connectivity issues with Bluetooth or WiFi. Cooked burgers, steaks even a 7 hour slow cook with no problems. My only suggestion is the front and left side shelves should be included, not add on accessories.
This is my first pellet cooker and I am very happy with it! I had a charcoal/wood smoker previously, but it was difficult to control the temperature and required nearly constant tending during cooking. The SmokeFire holds a very steady temperature and doesn't have to be reloaded with fuel during a cook. The smoke boost feature works well and seems to overcome one of the drawbacks that most pellet cookers have of not providing enough smoky flavor. The other thing that the SmokeFire does pretty well is sear food - at least when using a griddle or other heat sink. Overall, I think that it is a great cooker!
I've been able to achieve some pretty stellar results on pork shoulder, spatchcock chicken, pork tenderloin, and chuck roast. However, I've run into the very well documented problems regarding the pellet feed ramp not delivering the pellets to the auger as they're consumed, and I've also been very cautious to use drip pans because of the grease fire risk where both ash and drippings may combine to clog up the drainage in the bottom of the drum. The presence of the pans underneath the grates seem to disrupt the airflow through the unit. However, with only ash in the bottom (no grease drippings), it becomes very easy to clean. I do wish they'd used a higher quality metal for the fire box. I've only used this a few times so far and it's already showing signs of wear and will eventually need replacing. Room for 4 temp probes is greatly appreciated, and I'm pretty happy with the remote control app so far.
WOW, I honestly had my doubts after reading all the rectech fanboys/employees criticisms. But I've tried so many different thing that I normally wouldn't have and they have all come out fantastic.
The EX6 is a great grill, I wish the hopper was bigger and that the lid on the hopper had the hinges on the opposite side for ease of loading. Seering would be nice too, but I understand that might not be an option
