Can’t believe Webber put their name on this grill

Just bought the grill. First time use was perfect cooked a rack of ribs.
2nd time we used the grill with brisket the grill temp had huge temp fluctuations. Ruined dinner for our families
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Weber was delivered late, should've been delivered March 29th didn't get here till April 2nd. I was in the middle of cooking and the firmware decided to update shutting the grill down, causing the grease to pool in the bottom of the grill not realizing that the grease pooled in the bottom of the grill. I restarted the grill and started cooking again. Temperatures were wrong on my cell phone checked the grill and found a grease fire shut the grill down, and pulled off charcoaled meat!! Meat was lost as a result!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great bbq, I've cooked baby back ribs, beef ribs, whole chicken, pizza, burgers, salmon. Everything tastes amazing. The ribs form great smoke rings with the smoke boost. I could never cook beef ribs before.. they always came out completely black, they come out amazing on this grill. The app works great and connects easily. Easy to build. Easy clean up. The only issue I had was the fire spark plug went out on the 3rd cook. They give you 3 with the bbq so I just replaced it. I haven't had an issue again and it's been a month. Also, there is a great Australian Weber smoke fire channel on YouTube.
I actually have a first Gen, but it wouldnt let me select that. The glow plug doesnt last long, ive had to buy replacements after just a few months. There is a huge inconsistency with hot spots at the higher grilling temps, but obviously not much issue with a low smoke temp. I frequently get flame out error code, which ends the grilling session until i can cool down, clean out, and restart the grill. Pellet feeder jams, also leading to flame out. Fresh pellets doesnt seem to help the randomness with which this occurs. I expected more for the cost and from Weber.

This grill is really great for the most part. My only gripe is that there is a lot of ash on the bottom of the cooking chamber which blocks and absorbs grease drippings. This I think can lead to grease fires in the chamber. That is the only problem I can see so far with cooking. QC out of the box wasn't so hot either. As I had the Ash Tray housing all beat up, but the box it was in was not damaged at all, a wheel that wouldn't screw in, a dent on the outside of the cooking housing, and the lid doesn't close all the way on the right side. I was sent a new wheel which screwed on perfect, a new pristine ash tray housing, and was offered a new outside cooking chamber housing, but I didn't want to take apart the grill for it. So Customer Service is awesome here. Overall, this is one of the best grills around for the price. I love being able to switch to grilling after smoking steaks for a little bit (reverse sear) so easily. I love how even it is in the chamber when smoking. I dropped off one star for the ash and the QC. Otherwise this would be a fiver.
Constant issues every time I cook. I have yet to have a flawless cook with no issues. Excessive temp swings, temp drop and grill shutdown, pellets not feeding, pellets not burning at startup and having to restart, etc.
