I've had it for a few years and have had more problems than I care to deal with. Have to use weber pellets, randomly drops temperature and has to re ignite. Pit boss will be my next purchase.
I own a gen 1 smokefire 4 and needed more due to my use or demand for good quality smoked food I expect to burn up probably around two pallets of master blend pellets alone this summer

I absolutely love my Weber Smokefire EX6 (2nd Gen) wood pellet smoker/grill! This versatile appliance has truly exceeded my expectations. I've put it through its paces, cooking everything from brisket to halibut, and it has delivered outstanding results every time.
One of the features that I appreciate the most is the ability to turn it on and easily keep track of and control temperatures both on the unit and for what I am cooking. This has given me the confidence to experiment with different recipes and cooking techniques, knowing that the Smokefire EX6 will maintain the perfect temperature throughout the entire process.
In terms of performance, I have encountered no issues whatsoever with this grill. It has consistently delivered mouthwatering results, and its durability gives me confidence that it will continue to do so for many more cookouts to come.
Overall, I highly recommend the Weber Smokefire EX6 to anyone who is serious about their outdoor cooking. It's a reliable and versatile appliance that has truly enhanced my culinary experiences.
Nice product but complicated. Difficult to properly clean. Had problems with faulty components. Good for cooling for large crowd, but is overkill if cooking for 2-4 people on a weeknight.
I have always loved Weber grills but so far I’m not impressed with the smokefire. The pellets do not feed well and I can’t leave the smoker. I have to push pellets across every hour or so or it will flame out.

Thank you for your feedback! We would be happy to reach out to you to learn more about what you are experiencing. The key to good pellet flow is to use good quality pellets, ideally Weber Pellets, that don't have dust or are broken down, which can happen if you or a dealer are storing them in humid environments, handling them roughly, or if the bag is left open for some time. The pellets should have a crisp snap when broken instead of tearing or ripping apart. You will see when you get down to the lower 1/3 or so of your pellets in the hopper that they start to line up on the slide but they are still flowing. Please be on the lookout for a follow up email for more tips and help discuss this further. Thanks!

After hearing all the issues with this grill at first release I shied away. When I saw a “2nd generation” was released, I jumped at the opportunity to add this to my Weber arsenal. I sincerely regret that. Temperature control is easier in a 22” kettle. Pellets don’t feed properly (yes, I use Weber brand). The poor feeding leads to the opportunity for the temperature to drop, and when the grill tries to raise the temperature it spikes wildly, so if you’re not glued to the phone or the temperature screen, you run the risk of ruining your bbq. The temperature variation between the left and right side of the grill ranges from 50 to 100 degrees an hour after the grill preheats. Weber’s response of when you open the lid the wind pushes the flame to the right is just baffling. At this point I wish I had just purchased a 2nd summit charcoal.
