Good and bad of grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the features of this grill
It took a while for me get the igniter to work all the time, but now seems to be working well. The pellets do not flow out of the hopper smoothly therefore it shuts off because of the lack of pellets.
This grill does work as well as a gas grill for a simple hot dog though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The SmokeFire should be a consideration for anybody looking for a pellet cooker. In addition to low and slow cooking temps it has the ability to get hot enough to sear better than other competitively prices pellet grills. I find myself turning to this cooker most often when I prefer to cook with minimal hassle and maximum flavor. Thank you to the great Weber Team.

So pleased with this grill! All food has come out perfectly and the temperature probes and WiFi make it such an easy, convenient process. In addition to the amazing features, the grill is premium quality and design. Everyone who comes over is amazed by it. I’m the new cookout host with this bad boy!! No complaints or issues at all.

slow start but good results

After resolving electrical part issues over the first 3 weeks of ownership (Weber support was pretty good throughout) , I finally had a proper experience with the EX6. The grill heated up quickly, worked well to infuse smoke into the meat I prepared and shutdown in a proper sequence. I look forward to challenging the grill with Pork shoulder and ribs in the very near future.

Weber EX6 Fail

Initially excited as this was Weber and I’ve always had a great experience with their grills. Plus this was the 2nd generation EX6 so all the bugs should have been worked out. On my very first cook (brisket) it started losing temp about 8 hours in. No warning. No error code. The flame just went out. And there ended up being pellets all over the bottom of the smoker. Cleaned everything out and started it again. An hour later it lost temp again and pellets all over the place. Took everything apart and found the plastic had melted around the glow plug. Weber replaced the parts but I’m hesitant to have a longer cook now or to not watch it like a hawk. Especially without getting an error when there was an issue - which customer service said should have happened. Makes me think there is a larger issue….
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Assembly was simple. Started cooking soon after seeing it up. This was my first pellet smoker.
Smoke flavor was stronger than i expected even on hamburgers cooked at 350 and quite delicious. First week i owned it i made chicken wings, 3 racks of ribs using a method 3-2-1, a spatchcocked whole brined chicken, several nights of hamburgers and hot dogs and a pork belly dish... all came off without a hitch. The wifi app was more useful than i originally expected as well.

I love the fact that this is made in USA. It heats quickly. The pellet hopper on the back is also very convenient. This will fit 7 tri-tips with NO problem. Like most pellet smokers, it does have a hot spot that I need to be aware of, and plan my meats properly. But all-in-all, it works amazing and again, It's Made In USA. Let's keep America working.

This smoker has been perfect since purchased. Everything from hot and fast burgers, sausage,etc. to low and slow ribs and pork shoulder, the smoker has performed without and flaws, jambs, flares ups, temp fluctuations, etc. Brisket is next but so far it’s been absolutely awesome!
