The grill/smoker is so convenient. When I want to do something quick, I can turn this on, get real fire and smoke and grill up a steak or burger in no time. I also love the low and slow BBQ option where I can smoke a pork butt or brisket and not have to tend a fire for 15 hours. The smoke ring is good, the flavor is on point. I keep the other Weber charcoal grill around too just in case of a power outage where burning wood and coal allows me to cook and feed the family during an emergency.
This smoker is really good and kinda easy, but the first time we tried to start it up it had a problem to start the flame and we had to call for service After it was fixed we smoked some ribs and pork butt and chicken and salmon everything turned out very tasty Downside it's uses a lot of pellets, if you need to use it for 5-6 hours you need to refill the hopper at least twice.
Great features. I bought this after reading several reviews and since I had a Weber Charcoal Kettle that lasted 23 years I was looking for the quality. Quality is superb. The only thing I do not like is the uneven heating and that will take some time to get used to. As stated in reviews the lower right hand quadrant is the hottest so if you are grilling burgers or steaks need to take that in consideration, The temperature difference is significant.
I love this grill. The food comes out great, it is priced well, and there is LOTS of room to cook a lot of food at once. There are only two minor things I wish were a little better. The feed for the pellets still does not advance as well as I would like (even with the newly designed slide). The pellet storage area is not the same as most pellet grills which are more "gravity" fed. I still find myself sliding the pellets down by hand to make sure it feeds correctly (as I can see the auger and am sure it is about to stop working). Second, and I think this is similar with many smokers.....I wish the auto shutoff didnt have to cycle so long before restarting. Bottom line is, as a new pellet grill smoker, this is a learning curve to using the grill (any grill I think) to make sure you know what to look for to prevent mishaps. But it is so worth the good food. Weber did a great job with this grill!
I am a loyal Weber customer, in that, I initially started with Weber Charcoal Grill and then stepped up to the Genesis Gas grill. So, I was pretty excited about this product when I first picked it up. Soon after it was assembled, I was off and smoking for the first time. I immediately struggled with the hopper feed system, stuck pellets. Really disappointed with the fact that I have to constantly stay of top of the feed system. In my opinion, it needs a better engineering design. Does
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm a new owner of an EX6 and my experience with this grill, while limited, have been positive. So far, I haven't experienced any of the issues that some owners are complaining about. I've cooked ribs, burgers, and steaks.
Very impressed with the quality of the sear this pellet grill offers. Not quite what I can get on cast iron on my gas cook top but still better than I've gotten or seen on other pellet grills. Other positives include relatively easy clean up, gives a good smoke flavor, and the grill is huge. I probably would've been satisfied with the EX4. This thing is a monster of a pellet grill
My only complaint is the accuracy of the grill's internal temp probe. Once the grill reaches its setpoint, the displayed temp of the internal probe never moves leading you to believe it's perfectly maintaining that setpoint. We all know that's not true. Using my own probe placed next the the grills internal probe I find that the discrepancies are usually less that 20° and typically less than 10 °. Completely acceptable in my opinion and better than most grills.
So far so good , returned my ex4 to many problems it was an earlier model , but purchased another one just really like the fit and finish compared to other brands in the price range.
