A little learning goes a long way

It’s so easy to convert my Kari 2 to propane using the gas burner. I had to do some reading and watching videos to learn how to properly use this with my oven. You have to leave the door & vent open or it won’t get enough oxygen to keep the flames going. After learning this everything got easier and the pizzas turned out great.

Convenient, but heats very slowly!

The title says it all. This is enormously more convenient than using wood fire (easy to use, low maintenance, etc. ), but heats SO SLOWLY. After 45 minutes running at full blast, my oven was barely hitting 800 F.

Love it. Cooking with the wood is fun and gives the pizza that wood fired taste but when pressed for time, the propane is great. It is an art that takes some time to perfect but I am getting there.

Gas burner

Easy to install ,side note gives you opportunity to clean oven . REALLY enjoyed being able to have control over heat . COAL AND WOOD are cool as nostalgic but hard to control heat . This makes it easy but you do maintain ability to switch if the mood hit .

It takes a long time to heat up the stone

I have to bring a separate pizza steel if I want proper leoparding on my pizza undercarriage. Otherwise I would need to keep the gas running full blast for 2 hours to get the stone hot enough, then take a long break between pies for the stone to heat back up.
