DO NOT BUY ICE MACHINES FROM GE

Don't waste your money on this product. GE doesn't care that they make garbage products and do not back the product with a warranty over one year. My machine rarely produces ice and beeps all day long. I have consistently cleaned the unit and changed to filter (more times than recommended). My unit is at one year now and, in that one year, the unit beeps and turns off more than it has ever made ice. It's a terrible machine that GE will not stand behind. Buy under counter ice machines from a different manufacturer.

I cannot give a review on this ice-maker yet because it was installed by a professional installer without the water pump, which by the way we paid for. The company that we bought it off of just didn't know to order it separately, which doesn't say much for the company.

DO NOT BUY THIS ICE MACHINE!!

This ice machine is wonderful when it works...but it has not worked more than it has worked in the 2 years we have owned it. They have been to our house 8 times & have bascially replaced all parts of the machine & it still does not work. We even bought a warranty after year 1 & they just keep replacing the parts that work for about a month & then it stops working. Now we are waiting on a part that is backordered & no one want to help us. They give you the run around & don't care about the customer. We have multiple holiday events at our house starting this week & we will not have the ice maker until after the holidays becasue of the backordred part. I guarantee you when this part is installed, the ice machine still will not work. It's happened for 2 years now. Again..DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR EVEN BETTER ANY GE APPLIANCE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slushy vs Solid

Maybe I’m particular but I find the ice to be more on the slushy side rather than solid. Is there anyway to set temperature to make ice more solid?

I love nugget Ice so I love this ice maker. Gave it a 4 just because it is a little pricy but you get what you pay for a lot of times and this is one of those cases.
