Very Powerful Computer

The OMEN 40L Desktop computer has a AMD Ryzen 7 5800V Processor, HyperX 16 GB DDR4-3733 MHz XMP Heatsink RAM (2x8 GB), a powerful graphics card, surround sound, and wired keyboard and mouse combo. These are just some of the outstanding features of this powerful computer.
For my uses, I love that I can run so many programs really fast. My son loves the gaming features and is way too happy with its performance.

I was attracted of course to the HP name and quality, he's attracted to all the features and most of all SPEED! This thing is super fast, super quiet, and super reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HP Omen 40L gaming desktop packs a punch! It is by far the best pre-built gaming PC available. It is powered by the latest AMD processor and advanced graphics. The Omen 40L is an absolute beast. It out performs my custom built pc. I have yet to find a game that won't hit 60+ fps at max settings. The Omen 40L has a superior cooling system that prevents overheating. If you are looking for a solid performer right out of the box look no further than the Omen 40L. I highly recommend HP's Omen 40L! You will not be disappointed in the performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This prebuild gaming PC is punching way above it's weight class. It's well built and has good cable management for a prebuild machine. I took the time to check it out it comes with a 800w 80 plus gold power supply meaning that. If I decided to upgrade in the future there's basically nothing that I couldn't install in this case. The case is overall nice, it has room for a much larger top mount water cooler if I decided to upgrade in the future. Also I really like the eject buttons on the top for the panels. All of this Combine better than expected build quality with the 5800x and RTX 3070 and it's a hell of a machine.

Between gaming and my photography work, this PC is lightning fast. Not only that, I have plenty of storage and ways to expand if I need to in the future. I compared several models from different manufacturers and then decided to get this OMEN 40L desktop from HP. This machine is equipped with the latest AMD processor and advanced NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card. This machine has a superior cooling system that prevents overheating by strategically placing the fans. The desktop is designed conveniently with ease to upgrade and expand the memory, storage drive, and additional expansion slots for additional gaming needs. The OMEN gaming hub provides hardware controls and software enhancements such as intelligence overclocking, performance control, individual fan control, system vitals, network booster, lighting control, gallery, and remote play options. The system vitals provide real-time updates on CPU utilization, GPU utilization, memory utilization, and download and upload speeds. This machine came preloaded with Windows 11 Home edition and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor (3.8 GHz), AMZ B550 chipset, hyperX 16GB DDr4 3733Mhz XMP heatsink RAM (16GB). It provides 5.1 surround sound; Omen Audio Control Support DTS:X Ultra. It has several USB slots and HDMI slot. The desktop is enabled with Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11a Wifi and Bluetooth 5 along with a microATX form factor. An HP 310 black wired keyboard and mouse are also included so the only additional thing needed would be an external monitor to start the gaming sessions. Considering I was planning to upgrade my existing desktop which is a decade ago, this is a huge markup both in performance and looks (see pictures).

Great machine overall!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I firstly want to state that this machine is really quite good overall. Aesthetics are quite nice, most components are up to "gamer" standards, and you really won't be going wrong with this machine as a pre-built. I'm impressed with the name brand RAM, installed in a dual-channel configuration which is important for a Ryzen processor. The 120mm AIO water cooler looks nice and performs reasonably well. The machine maintains good thermals and stays quiet while gaming.
One issue I had after receiving this machine was that the CPU got seemingly stuck at 0.5GHz. Upgrading/reinstalling the BIOS fixed this issue. The BIOS definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Very few settings are configurable here, but some are exposed through the Omen software and Ryzen master. The motherboard appears to be HP specific and there have only been a few BIOS updates. I worry that this machine will miss out on Ryzen firmware upgrades that fix instability/performance issues in the future.
I would prefer having a USB-C or two on the front panel instead of four USB-A ports (2 USB 3.1 and 2 USB 2). The design of where the USB ports are makes installing and removing some devices difficult. McAfee being pre-installed is annoying. The other software is HP related. The Omen software is alright and even enables pushing the RAM with an XMP profile. The included mouse and keyboard are awful. In my opinion, if you are already spending on a machine you should also spend for a good mouse and keyboard and not rely on cheap included peripherals.
I appreciate that this machine provides easy upgradeability with push buttons to pop off the side panels. There is room for 2.5" drives behind the motherboard tray and the RTX 3070 can be easily swapped out for a new GPU in the future. The motherboard has one empty PCI express 8x slot that can be used for a faster NIC, USB controller, or other PCIe device in the future.
Really enjoying this machine so far. It performs great and should be useable/upgradeable long into the future.
