I love this computer except for one annoyance which are the colorful lights and the awful HP provided app to manage them called OMEN Gaming Hub. Not everyone wants "gaming style" lights on a gaming PC. I'm retired and I play games. I supported computers during my career, and I appreciate the speed and quality of the build of this PC but as a retired guy, the lighting is a bit much. I purchased mail order so was not able to see this before I owned the system. If something wakes the computer in the middle of the night, like a mouse move or an update restart the lights from the inside of the PC light up the entire room. It lights up the bedroom too. I app to configure the lights is horrible. The lighting section of the app is missing labels on software buttons and it's a pretty much an unintuitive experiment in lighting configuration every time you try to use the app. Then when the app receives an update it blows away the configuration and you must start all over again with a newly updated app. Additionally, the app is bloated with advertisements the overwhelm the experience and add to the confusion. I love this PC and I really want to give it five stars but last night I had to crawl of of bed at 1:00AM and turn off the PC because about once an hour both the monitors lit up for a few seconds and went back to sleep only to repeat later in the night. Why did you put a strip of LEDs on each of the memory strips? Annoying and at my age silly. Consider how bright they are in the middle of the night. A single strip WILL light an entire room. What do you think four of them do in addition to the plethora of other lights in the system? It is bright! I do not regret that I made the purchase, but I would happily do without the lights. Please give me a simple single off switch for the lights.
does everything i wanted it to it can easily handle a duel screen set up and playing a steam game while streaming to multiple platforms. 10/10 for my wife who streams.
