This PC runs slower than the one I wanted to replace. Windows 11 didn't help speeds operations up, either. I was looking for a PC that would be snappy in getting things done, not this boat anchor.
I hate it. It's too slow and one of my external hard drives fail. Watching YouTube videos fail sometimes also. It's too large in size. I didn't realize it didn't come with a DVD port.
Windows 11 is the worst system woke Bill Gates has offered. If I had known then what I know now, I would have not ordered this machine with the operating system of Win11.
Very Disappointed!!! The BIOS is very primitive in that it will not display a boot selection menu for dual booting. In order to do a boot selection, I have to manually get into the menu via numerous presses on the f9 key. According to the HP service technician, the "boot option display" is only available in the "business grade" computers. Amazing that my 2007 old HP had this feature!
The second day of ownership, BitLocker locked up my system. After a lot of searching, I found out that I had a Microsoft account, that I never created, and it had the unlock key… it turned out to be invalid. I had to completely reinstall the O/S.
Finally, if boot from another O/S, back into Windows, the clock time display shows a 5 hour difference from my actual time. I have to either go into the BIOS settings to change it or execute the time resync.
Overall, I would say that I am happy with this purchase, but there are a few minor areas for improvement. This device operates as intended, it is fast, silent during normal operation, and works well for most games & settings, as well as for GPU processing. It is not as flashy as some other PC's of a similar price range or caliber, but the simpler aesthetic is fine for me. The power supply is a bottleneck, which is insufficient to power a monitor, speakers, and microphone. When these devices are plugged in, they can represent a high enough power draw to prevent startup. This device came with a mouse & keyboard, both of which were low quality, and needed to be upgraded. The built in memory is relatively small as there are no extra hard drives besides the built in HDD memory. It seems to me that the expectation is to use cloud storage for everything, which is fine for most things but I wouldn't want to rely on it for everything.
Love the quality and performance of this workstation. Well designed visually with the user in mind. The workstation is quiet even during heavy tender times.
Beautiful design, great build (i7-12700KF, GeForce RTX 3070, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 800W PSU, Liquid Cooling, upgradeable). The content was right on target with this machine and the price was unbeatable. I am very satisfied so far.
