[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry (not sorry) for the clickbait title. Generally speaking, this is a good machine. There are a few shortcomings that I want future potential buyers to be aware of. I guess it comes as a part of he "military grade build" but carrying this with one hand is a workout for the wrist. Said in simpler words, it is heavy! This is not so much an issue unless you need to take this 17" on a plane.
The big one for me is that the keyboard is not backlit. Between a fingerprint reader and backlit keys, personally backlit keys are far more important. I can't imagine anyone thinking that a fingerprint reader is more important than backlit keys. And yet, we have this machine. I take blame for assuming that the keyboard would be backlit but am still baffled by the decision made by the Lenovo marketing team.
