I purchased this laptop for my father. The larger screen is perfect for him since he can't see as well as he once could. The resolution and refresh rate are great for what he is using the laptop for. It is actually more robust than he needs since all he does is use it for email and looking at a few other websites. The reality is a tablet would have been ideal for him, but with him changes is never good. He still likes his paper copies to put into his filing cabinet. LOL! He thought he'd want an external keyboard that had raised keys so he could feel his fingers clicking as he typed, but he has gotten used to the flatter keys. The reality is flatter keys are more ergonomic than the raised keys. You don't want your fingers doing as much work to push down the keys. Overall a solid device that will not compromise any performance he requires. Even if he streams one of the grandchildren's activities, he should have no lag issues. Highly recommend for those not needing a workhorse to perform complex activities such as gaming.
