I needed a laptop for business and home, I also do IT work, had to be strong and fast with a descent hard drive. It needed to be compact and light also and this fit the bill. I7 chip at 48 gigs ram with 1 tb hard drive. It's fast boot time and also using the cads, plc, etc.. was great. Highly recommend and price was very reasonable for price to product ratio. I was looking at lenova at first but Asus blew it away with this one. If this holds up, (it is built really well) I will be back for more down the road.
