Fun colors, poor motion detection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nightlight was very easy to install. You just plug it in and download the app on your mobile device. You do need to make sure that you have wifi access in order to connect the light with your mobile device. The app has a simple interface and is easy to operate. Definitely take note that this night light does not come with a manual on/off switch. It is fully operated through the app. The app allows you to change the color of the light, color temperature, set up timers, and connect with voice control devices like Alexa. For the colors, there are options to choose a single color, changing colors, or themed colors categorized by mood. My biggest concern with this light is the motion detector property. I expected that the sensor would sense motion once you’re in the vicinity, but in reality the area of detection is very narrow. It only senses motion when you walk directly in front of the light. I was hoping that this could be used in dark hallways at night or the top/bottom of stairs, but the narrow field of motion detection makes it not as useful. I’ve instead opted to set an automatic timer for a couple hours in the middle of the night when family members may be likely to cross the hallway to use the bathroom or get water from the kitchen. It’s working well so far, but I would have preferred for the light to have a wide detection range so that it’s not turned on needlessly for hours at a time.

Fancy nightlight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Globe Electric WiFi smart night like with motion detection is a fancy nightlight. You are able to adjust the colors, time when you would like the light to come on and the warmth of the brightness. The motion detection does not give a far range to turn on. You would need to have it right at the entrance of a room so when you walk directly in front of the nightlight it will turn on. The app was easy to install and use, very user friendly.
Overall, I think it's a great nightlight, but it is also just that, a fancy nightlight.

Problem with Wi-Fi Password

Tried to set up the night light. When I went to enter the Wi-Fi password it would only take about 1/3 of my Wi-Fi password? The rest would not fit. What is wrong with the app?

It is very simple to use with motion detection and controls through an app on my phone. My children love that it can change colors. It keeps this night light fun.

Easy to set up and fun night light

You have to add the app to your cell phone and it was a very easy step by step process to add it into the app. Once added it is a very fun night light. You can change it to motion sensor, color (steady or changing). It is a HUGE hit in our house.

Motion detection is random at best

This light is terrible. The motion detection is random and if you have a schedule set for motion detection to work in that time frame it just ignores it. The lights will sometimes just turn on randomly outside of the scheduled window and stay on until I open the app and turn it off. Why have a schedule option if it just ignored it???
