Don’t waste your money

I recently purchased a Garmin watch with high hopes for accurate fitness tracking, but unfortunately, it has fallen short of my expectations. The heart rate monitoring feature is consistently unreliable, often providing readings that seem unreasonably high or low compared to what I know my body is experiencing (and or what medical devices are reporting- not even close to explain it away). Additionally, the step tracking is equally disappointing; I've noticed that it frequently undercounts my steps, sometimes by a significant margin, which defeats the purpose of having a fitness tracker. The inconsistencies in these key metrics have left me feeling frustrated, as I rely on precise data to monitor my health and progress. Overall, the Garmin watch has not lived up to its reputation, making it difficult for me to trust the information it provided and wasting the 150+ spent on it.

Beautiful Smartwatch with REAL Hands!
on March 11, 2025

This watch does everything I wanted (and more!). I really wanted a step-counter type device, but never liked the giant black squares on everyone's wrist. When I came across the Vivomove Hybrid series, I was intrigued. The white/peach gold is beautiful, attractive, and I can read the time without needing to flick my wrist just so to get the digital readout displayed. I LOVE THE ANALOG HANDS!!!! I'd still prefer a smaller watch, like the Lily series, but the lack of hands was a deal breaker. What I didn't know I'd be addicted to was the sleep tracker. Accurate or not, I'm hooked, and always excited when I see a higher sleep score! I like that I can see texts and emails, but do not feel like I am missing anything by not being able to voice-text replies. That's a bit, well, extra; and for me unnecessary. I also enjoy the move iQ feature that (mostly) accurately figures out when I am engaged in physical activity and will measure it. Except for the couple times it thought I was swimming, it's been spot on. This watch does have the ability to measure/time/collect data on variety of activities, I just have to remember to instigate them (which I don't....). For me, keeping time with hands and counting steps are the best parts of the Vivomove Sport and she does it very efficiently. Oh and the watch keeps a charge forever as well as charges quickly double bonus! Kudos to the Garmin team as well. After a year, my watch stopped working and they replaced it within a week! Love love love this watch and have recommended it to many!

Good watch for exercise!

The Garmin Vivomove is a nice watch, worth the money if you're looking for a multiparameter watch. The only thing I don't like about it is that it needs to be connected to your phone or tablet while walking or running to use the GPS to give accurate distance. Previous models of the Garmin Vivoactive don't require a phone connection. That was nice because I usually don't carry my phone when I run, & sometimes when I walk. Also, additional apps can't be downloaded like the Garmin Vivoactive (at least previous versions). I usually workout using the FitOn app & there is an app that can be downloaded to the Vivoactive that allows the heart rate to be seen on the screen while workout videos on FitOn app are being used. Nifty feature so you don't have to keep looking at the watch. Not a big deal, but just convenient. The Move is sturdy & comfortable. I like that there is a screen protector for it. I really do like the Vivomove. It doesn't have a few features that the Active has but it's enough for the most part. I would recommend the VivoMove.

great watch with a decent battery life. love to wear it every day when working out and working. I love that I cam track my progess with my steps and be able to get accurate readings with all the vitals that is measures. never had connection issues or a missed notification. This watch is very light weight and comfortable to wear, even to bed. I have received many compliments on how it looks as well. Great gift.

Screen is harder to read. It is best for time, not for monitoring activity or messages. I was rather disappointed!

Good intro to smart watch

This is my first smart watch. I chose it because it is an analog watch first, which I really enjoy. The smart watch features that I like are tracking steps, logging activities, and reminders for me to get up and move. The color is very nice and I can wear it comfortably all the time. It keeps a charge for at least 5 days.

Great hybrid watch

I love this watch, I've worn it every day for the last 6 months and I have very few complaints, the main one is that the watch face is not scratch resistant at all. Had I known how susceptible it was to scratching, I would've put a screen protector on it right away but it's a bit late for that as it won't sit nicely now. I also wish there were more watch face layout options. Something that had the weather would have been great, I look for this every time there are updates.
Otherwise, I appreciate that it does not need to be charged every day. I average about once a week on a single charge, granted I have the SP02 sensor turned off as that consumes a lot of battery.
