Average watch

The Garmin vivomove sport watch is a solid choice for those seeking a stylish and functional wearable device. The bands are comfortable to wear for extended periods, making it suitable for everyday use. The watch offers a decent set of features that cater to basic activity tracking and notifications. With a battery life of approximately 4 to 5 days, users can enjoy uninterrupted usage without frequent charging. However, a common concern arises with the delicate glass display, prompting many users to seek protective covers for added durability. Unfortunately, finding a suitable protective cover that fits the unique design of the watch can be challenging, which can be disappointing for those looking to safeguard their device from scratches and damage.

More than "just a watch"
on June 3, 2024

I've been wearing my Vivomove Sport for a few weeks now so I think I can finally give an informed review. I like the simplicity of the watch the most, I am not a training athlete or someone who is working out hardcore so being able to pick what information I want shown and when I want it shown on the face is exactly what I was looking for. I really like being able to pair to the GPS on my phone so I have a visual of my route when biking, walking or running (I hike and kayak too but haven't tried the GPS while hiking yet so I can't account for the accuracy during those specific activities). The overall health features on the app are great too but warning if you're just starting out: the fitness age may be a bit discouraging at first. Now onto the things I do not like, first and foremost no matter what I do I can't get it to automatically start tracking an activity. I have MoveIQ and Activity Tracking turned on, but it does not automatically track. I have to manually go into the activity setting on the watch and start the selected activity (walking, running, biking, what have you) which is fine as long as I remember to turn it on. Coming from not having a fitness tracker to this, I do tend to forget to turn the activity on which is frustrating because that auto on feature was one of the reasons I chose a Garmin in the first place. Also on that note, I have had a few times when a bike ride has gone past the 1 hour mark and the activity is abruptly ended without notification so all of the travel/time/work out after that 1 hour mark isn't recorded, again really frustrating. The only other downside is the watch comes with a standard size band, if you've got a slightly larger wrist (mine is 7.8 inches) and you do not want a super tight band, you have to order another band SET for an additional cost, which I did but why pay additional money for the 1 longer band piece (3 band pieces come in a set)? To me, it would make more sense to include the 1 longer piece with the watch. All in all, I really do like the Vivimove sport and I think once I work out the issue with the auto tracking I will like it even more.

It's mildly OK at best
on July 3, 2024

I bought it because it's a hybrid meaning it has a real watch movement - hands and all, and a tiny screen to notify you and monitor basic health stuff like steps, BPM, etc. Other than a lockup I had which was quite a process to fix, I don't like that the battery % of charge does not show up on the app (big miss), and the display itself does require reading glasses to read. At least the icons are good and I can decipher the notifications, just not the details. I also HATE that it does not use Qi wireless charging. The cable they give you is proprietary, not even USB C. Such old tech for a cutting tech company like Garmin - or are they?

Everything I need in a fitness tracker
on July 14, 2024

I've had my watch for over two years. I recently had it replaced because I was having a battery charging issue. Garmin was very understanding and efficient in sending me a replacement. The watch itself is everything I need in a tracker. I find it to be very accurate. It definitely assists me in tracking my runs!

Excellent “smart” watch
on July 15, 2024

I’ve been in the market for a new “smart” watch for about a year now and finally made the jump.
I was looking for two things:
1. “Less”
2. Sleep tracking
This watch is perfect because at base, it is an analog watch and thus has a nice aesthetic.
Second, it has a small screen at the bottom to show notifications and if you want you can look at all the other usual fitness watch things.
As for wanting less, I wasn’t looking for a watch to replace my phone: listen to music and answer phone calls and texts, and run down the battery. I wanted the date and time and pop up alerts of texts and phone calls to see if I needed to go track down my phone and deal with it or can ignore it until a more convenient time.
As for sleep, I only got the watch yesterday so I can’t say much about it except apparently I didn’t sleep well last night, but I’m excited to use it going forward and it advertises a 6-7 day battery so I can actually wear it to sleep and still have a functional watch the next day instead of having to charge it every night.
(And seeing as I’ve had it on going on 18 hours and it still has 80% battery or thereabouts, I think they might be telling the truth!)

Very comfortable and easy to use

This is the second garmin tracker I have purchased. My vivosmart hr+ is still working 7 years later. I wanted a tracker that wasn't so high on my wrist. Garmin app combines both trackers I'm still using the hr+ for swimming. I color of the face is a little hard to see in bright light, but i do really like the color. All in all I'm very happy with this tracker.

Love my Vivomove Sport!
on July 23, 2024

I have been using my vivomovesport for almost a month now and I love it! Not only does it look stylish but it helps me meet my fitness goals. It is sleek and lightweight and has become an indispensable part of my daily routine.
It tracks so many more types of work outs than my past fitness trackers. I love how it gives insights into my resting heart rate, stress levels, and VO2 max, helping me keep a close eye on my overall health and fitness. Lastly, the sleep tracking feature provides many helpful data points for me to see how to increase my sleep quality.
