Need Help With Settings

It has options like bagels and English muffin, but there are no directions how to put these in so one side gets toasted....both sides heat up no matter what the setting. Tried to gt to manual online but the link doesn't work. Everything toasts unevenly with bottom back getting overdone and front top not toasted. Why is it so hard for someone to make a toaster that toasts evenly? If Cuisinart sees this please send me instructions for the toaster options.

Best toaster I've ever used, without question - and I eat toast every morning. I had four adult children and their spouses home for Christmas and they all commented on this toaster. We toasted many types of bread, muffins and toaster pastries. We did need a little trial and error to perfect our personal preferences but with six types of breads/muffins/pastries and seven toast shades we all had just what we wanted. The motorized "lift and lower" is super smooth and whisper quiet - none of the raucous sounds of springs and latches. "Quickview" will raise and re-lower your favorites so you can have a glance at their progress - WITHOUT turning off the toasting element. Looking a bit too light for your tastes? Simply press the +30 Secs button to add to the toasting time. The MemorySet feature allows you to dial in your favorite settings and from then on you'll get your perfect toast with the touch of one button! Honestly couldn't be happier with this wonderful toaster - what took so long?

We buy toasters when they are marked down if needed. This Cuisinart 2-Slice Motorized Toaster was almost half price so we picked it up. Pretty self explanatory controls. With a little experimenting it has been working very well. Time will tell. No issues so far after a month or so. We have only used it for toast, English muffins and Eggo waffles. It has settings for those and we've had fairly consistent results. We're glad we bought it.
