I had another Cuisinart model for years and wish I had re-purchased that one. I don't care for the toasting this one offers. Bagels were not toasted on the outside with the other model and with this one they are which causes them to be crunchy.

The best toaster I have ever had! Simple to use and the electrical lowering and rising of toast is awesome. Setting the darkness of the bread and being able to see how the bread is cooking and adding 30 seconds is ingenious. I love the toaster so much I just ordered another one for my home in Florida. We replaced our 10+ year old Cuisinart toaster with a new Cuisinart toaster that is an even better toaster than its predecessor. The replaced toaster was beginning to toast bread unevenly; our new toaster toasts evenly across the types of breads, pastries, and bagels that we use. The user-selectable item to be toasted and the ease of the other toasting functions makes this automated toaster and even better purchase.

I actually have the 4 slice but, the drop downs when registering the product, did NOT provide an option for my model. That being said, this is my second leverless Cuisinart over the years. this is a vast improvement from the previous model,which I gifted to a close friend, after the purchase of this new model. Excellent product feature and perfectly evenly toasting. I highly recommend.

Our previous Cuisinart toaster bit the dust, this is its replacement. Getting used to the buttons and features. So great to toast a croissant to golden crisp WITHOUT any burning. Very good product.
