[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great workstation for FPGA (Vitis, Vivado, etc) and EDA designers and software engineers using Yocto and other compute-intensive tasks. It was super-easy to set this workstation to dual-boot Windows 10 and Linux Mint 20.2 -- Every peripheral and hardware component was supported by Linux with no issues at all. The "fit and finish" of the hardware is much more pleasing than my Dell Precision 7530. This is my third Thinkpad purchase, and it won't be my last one! Having THREE M2.2280 slots for NVMe flash drives, and capacity for 128GB RAM (I have 80GB currently installed) is perfect for the demanding software engineer / hardware designer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this laptop is everything I needed for my work as a graphic artist and designer. I was impressed with my Yoga A940 that I bought 1 year ago, but needed something I could travel with. Decided to stick with the Lenovo family and so far am very pleased with my decision.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far its running great with all of the programs I need. A little bigger and heavier than I was expecting, but not an issue because it lives on a desk 99% of the time. Screen resolution and image quality is amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent laptop. The performance is so good and I can open multiple programs and all of them work great without any hanging issues.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it is a pretty powerful computer, I haven't tested it with professional modeling software yet but I do try with games. it could run a game with around 100FPS with maximum effect (with plug-in). if we reduce the effect into medium, it could still provide 80FPS and last for 50min without plug-in. the screen color is true and good, but the screen brightness might be too high for me and require a certain environment with enough illumination. CPU is powerful enough to run MATLAB, ANSYS, and CATIA DMU together without being stuck. Of course, the speed of calculation will be reduced if run multiple programs together but it is acceptable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three weeks in with this ThinkPad has provided me the opportunity to be very productive in managing every aspect of my financial life. From investments, banking and tracking comprehensively; quickly and efficiently, is what this machine provides. Its robust nature offers capacity and control like no other computer I've ever owned. I think I've found the brand, with the major offerings they provide from casual web browsing to complex calculations and screen offerings, that will make me a repeat customer. Another observation I've made is that appears to help stabilize my WiFi network to a degree, thanks.
