[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I moved from a custom desktop (AMD Threadripper 3990, 256gb RAM, NVIDIA A6000 GPU) to this laptop. So far it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. It has changed my perception of laptops. I love the bright 17” screen too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Software Engineer, I require some considerably powerful hardware to accomplish the tasks that come my way. Lenovo has perfected the art and mastered the science of providing top-tier mobile workstations that can meet my workload demands with ease.
The P17 Gen 2i follows the lineage set-forth by the original P70 17” Mobile Workstation – the machine is, simply, a modern workhorse that can deprecate anything you throw at it. With up to three SSDs, storage capacity limitations are a thing of the past. The P17 Gen 2i can accommodate 128 GB of ECC RAM – one would be terribly hard pressed to bring this beast to a slow pace, much less a halt.
My machine moves through myriad workloads with ease like the breeze blowing…but can manifest torrential, hurricane-force power on a whim. I am able to run Office 2021, too-many web-browser windows to count, two to three instances of Visual Studio 2022, PreSonus Studio One 5.5, several Remote Desktop Protocol sessions, Spotify, File Explorer, etc…concurrently, without even blinking and she still has room to move!
The build quality, as always, is exemplary. The keyboard and TrackPoint are incredible. I love Lenovo keyboards - they just feel right. The TrackPad, which I use most, has its’ buttons integrated underneath its’ surface – a change from the discrete buttons of prior generations.
If you are in the market for a mobile workstation that will not disappoint, consider commandeering a Lenovo P17 Gen 2i. You get what you pay for with Lenovo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eggcelent laptop. Everything as expected. Only thing I wanted better was the Xeon processor but the lead times were too long
Great computer but it’s just way too big and heavy
