I haven't had a chance to fully test the functionality of this device, but it does appear that it's not compatible with aftermarket docking stations and has no Lenovo docking device that it is listed as compatible with. For a higher end laptop, having no compatible docking stations seems ridiculous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
