[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The workstation is solid, the keyboard is smooth to use, and it is very responsive. I especially like how easy it is to lock the FN keys for using the F1-F12 with AutoDesk or for any other program.

I never had a laptop with face recognition or fingerprint scanner. Love everything about it. Screen resolution outstanding. Keyboard has a great feel to it. What a way to end the year!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product feels significant compared to most laptops. It has a good sized screen for my aged eyes. You'll never have to worry about the hinges breaking or busting through the plastic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The P17 is touted as a workstation and fulfills the functions of a workstation except for the power button. If other Lenovo laptops have the power button on the outside, why can't the P17? The lid of my P17 is 98% closed, anyway. Lenovo engineers/designers/marketers need to think about the users instead of trying to sell more Lenovo devices such as docking stations. Docking stations that can power up a laptop when the lid is closed.

I'm an avid computer user, I use my computer more than I do my phone. Having used 8 different high conf, high-end laptops I have never been disappointed with my first ever Lenovo laptop which cost me the most of all laptops I owned. I had heard great reviews of how reliable Lenovo laptops were. So to give it a try I bought one. It's my laptop, I didn't care how big it was since it would serve me for years to come.
Alas, my mouse pad double-figure Synaptics stopped working out of nowhere a few months ago. I called the helpline late at 9 pm. They tried helping for another 1 hr but nothing worked. I was told I had to send it to repair and pay for it. Of all the laptops I have used, never had I faced such a problem. Let alone such an expensive laptop. This is the first Lenovo laptop I own and will be the last one as well.
It's outrageously disappointing.
