[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gets pretty hot because Lenovo decided to remove a heatpipe, don't know why they removed the sd card reader, fan makes hissing noises, panel has pretty big bezels and is 16:9 which is just worse for productivity, left and right click buttons have no physical feel so it's very hard to find them without looking. Gave it two stars because keyboard is excellent and 4k panel has great colors
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This particular model…I purchased 4 of these all at once and everyone of them has given me issues with USB ports and the wireless feature. One of them I had to have the motherboard replaced. Oy. Every other model of Lenovo has been fantastic!

In the very narrow niche where you want ISV certification but don’t need an excessive GPU, this hits the mark. Largely used for CAD and programming, and the 16 cores helps a great deal with compile times. I will say surface still smudges like crazy unfortunately.

The ThinkPad P14a 2 AMD is a great machine. I use pretty basic programs, office mostly and everything else is cloud based. I am sure this machine can handle much more than I use it for.
