I've only been using it for about a week, but the little things like fingerprint ID, keyboard-based cursor control, and the overall compact design of the unit have won me over. I'll update this review after I get some more time with it, but I can't imagine a better deal for what you get with this workstation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really satisfied with this machine. Here are some pros and cons
Pros: The size and weight of this machine is perfect. Lenovo provides many different options for the configuration. The key travel 1.5mm is actually enough/not bad for me, compared with T440p. Two usb-c ports & two usb 3.2 ports. Screen/CPU/GPU/Ramaxel RAM are all awesome!
Cons: Screen flickering problem. It seems to be a common issue for many P1 G4. Can be solved by updating the GPU drivers and BIOS. Thermal paste is not good. You can repaste by yourself and see a temperature decrease. A little bit difficult to disassemble, compared with T440p.
Suggestions: More ports? More usb 3.2/type-c/hdmi/RJ45 ports? Improve the thermal paste. Solve the screen flickering problem. Increase key travel to 1.8mm? Increase the TDP/Wattage of CPU/GPU? Let CPU excess 30w, and CPU+GPU excess 110w? The 230w adapter is too heavy, while the total wattage of this machine is only about 170w.

I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this exclusively to run Ableton Live 11. I use Ableton to run and control multiple soft synthesizers in a live music setting and some of the files are pretty large - - the gaming laptop I had been using was taking too long to load the files and weird hiccups sometimes occurred. The new Lenovo, with 64 GB of RAM and a Xeon processor handedness the task flawlessly. And it does the job without the size and weight of a gaming machine. The Lenovo exceeded my expectations and my expectations were pretty high. It is worth every penny.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The state of the art Thinkpad hardware works perfectly in Windows 11 and Linux Mint. The screen is bright and sharp, and the keyboard is wonderful. The Nvidia gpu supports up to 4K, and also the machine learning libraries I use.
Lenovo's reliability was the main reason I chose a Thinkpad. My previous Lenovo laptop is still going after 7 years, unlike my two newer laptops from competitors which died within 2 years. All of my laptops are well cared for - but only the Lenovo lives on.
LInux users: as of early 2022, the new Thinkpad hardware is best supporting by upgrading to a new kernel like 5.13.0-23.
