[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the price may be a little high, this laptop certainly makes up for it. I've been able to run modelling software's such as Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, ANSYS and others with relative ease. In high intensity workloads however, the extremely high resolution slows the computer down a bit, but it's still managable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this after a much longer wait than was promised. It is working very well and should serve my purposes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tight, fast, compact and dense. Great construction and functionality. Only quibble is the too-slick trackpad. Would prefer more fingertip drag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. Was looking for something without a num pad and I've had no problems so far. My model has the vapor chamber and I haven't noticed any uncomfortable heating or much other than light fan noise. Don't mind traveling with it at all, walking around to meetings with it isn't a pain. I don't think I've had the right battery settings on when using it unplugged, but it does seem to demand a lot. Just flagging if that's a concern for folks, the published rate in saver mode seems pretty good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using ThinkPads for over twenty year. This most recent purchase for the 4th Generation P1 is fantastic. As far as the cost it's more of a 3 star. These devices are very good. Quality is driving the prices but in my opinion, there is no better device. And the P1 is similar to most high-end laptops.
If I have any complaints, it would be the removal of the Lenovo spec built software like battery monitors and the changes in the Lenovo Vantage application.
Other than that, I can't think of better laptop to purchase.
