[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using ThinkPad workstations for about 15 years and have never thought of using anything else. The ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 Intel unit is excellent. I especially like the lighter weight as I carry it with me on vacation and around the world.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine--- works very well with multiple programs and browers open. No delays or lagging. Very Happy!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is fast, quiet and aesthetically very pleasing. Every feature seem to have been well thought out. When traveling, it has plenty of resources to tackle most taxing applications and processes in an often intense working environment of a web developer.

Computer constantly shuts down in the middle of work. Gets hot to the touch due to fans not working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watch Blu-rays and DVDs on laptops. I've been doing it for years, and I know that most people don't do this. My ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 is absolutely the best laptop I've ever used. The 16-inch WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) 600-nit LG display is (by far) the best I've seen on a laptop. There are many other aspects of this product that are insanely great, including the keyboard, the touchpad, the port selection, the cooling solution, the performance, the form factor. My ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 is configured with an Intel i9-11950H, an NVIDIA RTX 3080, 32 GB of dual-channel Samsung RAM, and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 Samsung SSD. It is the most powerful computer I've ever used, and it weighs 4 pounds. No throttling. No backlight-bleed. No dead pixels. No stuck Pixels. No coil-whine. In 2018 I bought an X1 Extreme (Gen 1), which is still a very good computer. The improvements since then, however, are totally astonishing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to replace a Dell precision laptop. Have been with Dell since 1996 and have always upgraded to a Dell laptop since then. Bought the P1 after my current Dell less than a year old failed boot from a win10 to win11 forced upgrade by windows system. I am currently using it for software development and some video/photo editing and have had no issues so far. 16 inch screen laptop is same size if not a tad smaller than my 15.6 inch dell laptop which is a surprise to me. So a regular 15.6 inch case/bag will fit this laptop. I opted for 64 gigs of ram and a rtx4000 graphic card. Have multiple virtual systems running like a breeze, linux, cloud services, local webserver for web app development and testing. This machine handles it all. One of the few light and thin laptops with usb-a, full hmdi, 2 usb-c, one being thunderbolt port available. Unless you go for a 5 plus pounder desktop replacement mobile workstation, this is the only thin laptop in its class to offer usb-a port.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High quality finish/materials, compact design. Surprisingly good battery life for the capabilities of this laptop. Its only downfall is it definitely runs hot, but that happens with the high end hardware inside. I installed TPFanControl and the fans do a much better job of keeping it cool.
