[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful machine, it's replacing a long-in-the-tooth Thinkpad t450s (and a disappointing L580). Heft is about the same as the T450s, despite being a significantly larger screen. When I looked at the specs I didn't notice that this unit does not have a built-in Ethernet port. Not a big deal these days, and a USB-to-Ethernet adapter serves if an Ethernet connection is needed. The wifi adapter is an Intel AX210, too new for the kernel in a stock Debian distribution --- I think it needs a version 5.14 or newer Linux kernel. Ubuntu 21.10 supports it, or you can compile a new kernel from the sources (if you can get the sources onto the machine in the first place, or can cross-compile). I trust that Windows supports it too.
I really like the square power plug it's sturdy enough for serious use. The USB-C power plug on the L580 is just too flimsy; it's the primary reason I had to replace the L580, I couldn't depend on it charging. Lenovo, please standard on the square plug, NOT USB-C for power!
Minor disappointment - there's a full-size SD slot on the right side, but in use the SD card sticks halfway out of the machine. On the T450s the SD card inserted fully into the machine, and "clicked" in or out of the socket. Now you just grab the part that's sticking out, and pull. I'd much rather have the card fully enclosed in the chassis. It comes with Windows 11, which demands that I have a Microsoft account as part of the initial setup. That was the death knell for my willingness to give Windows a look-in on this machine; I'll run Win10 or even Win7 in a VM if I really need to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been only a month since I held my hands on this monster. I am very happy with the purchase. Awesome screen real estate & clarity. Fast in doing transfer of files. I mainly use it for work and self learning. Works superbly well with the IDEs and containerization frameworks. Last but not least, Wifi 6E provides faster connectivity and downloading :)
Happy with the purchase !!! Fly high Levono !!!

The charger on the P1 4th Gen is ~2.5 pounds (as much as many laptops) and only six feet long, so doesn’t even reach an outlet from my desk. Absolutely too clunky to travel with. Computer works fine, but was surprised that the screen is not a touch screen like every other machine these days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
