[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very Nice Laptop. It immediately upgraded to windows 11. Fast SSD and memory. My last Lenovo lasted 5 years and was still going strong, but I wanted faster. I got faster. Very Nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A huge step up in terms of speakers and touchpad, specifically, from previous models of ThinkPad our company has used. Respectable battery life and extremely solid build quality, including thermals - great all-rounder workstation.
Trackpad buttons now flat, sadly, and can throttle

First off, I didn't want to be included in any sweepstakes for my review, of the many great things about 5his laptop, here are my complaints. My biggest complaint is what I consider to be a bar between the trackpad buttons and the spacebar. I hate it. I've had over 10 ThinkPads and I still use a few of them and I didn't see that this Thinkpad made the change where the trackpad buttons are flat, not downsloped towards the spacebar. This creates two problems for me. 1) while typing and my right thumb tries to strike the spacebar, the joint in my thumb strikes that bar and I end up not hitting the spacebar. Very annoying and I'm not getting used to it. 2) the flat trackpad buttons are hard to feel where they are at because it's all flat. All my other ThinkPads, in a dim lit room, I can easily slide my fingers down and I know I'm on the sloped trackpad button, it's wonderful! Not this p1. Apparently they changed it for this gen 4 and I've grown to hate it. I have an L13 and really like that keyboard compared to this one. My T420 is even a lot better with sloped trackpad buttons. They made this one worse. Last, it's also a little loud when it gets warm, like mid 50s in db. That's pretty loud and it does seem to throttle a bit because of that. I'd really like this p1 (with rtx 3070) if the trackpad buttons were sloped like almost all other Thinkpads, and the keys had a little more height like my L13. I'm really afraid I'm just going to have to return this because I'm not getting used to it no matter how much I try. Maybe gen 5 will solve my problems. One more thing, if they had to make the laptop a little thicker to help with cooling and to increase key height, NO PROBLEM, please do it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This workstation exceeds all my expectations. I don't play games, but I actively work in the IT, watch educational videos, etc. This station is connected to a 32" external display, transmitting both video and sound to it without any distortion and delays.
The battery lasts a long time, a large margin of screen brightness, an illuminated keyboard, a huge amount of RAM is an excellent choice as a working tool.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] purchasing was easy and selecting the model that would do the job was also easy. Took awhile to come but these are trying times. Packing was great...installation was a breeze and without any problems. Hopefully the computer will continue to perform
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop, bought few weeks ago. I use it for 3D work and rendering. Super fast and screen resolution is amazing. The laptop does produce alot of noises from the fan but I guess that is the case with all other workstations. Overall very happy with my laptop.
