People need to realize the router is only as good as the input from your cable. I live in a 2500sqft ranch and the signal is strong 3 to 4 out of 4 bars in every part. The router is centrally located an sits no higher than 3ft off the ground. Mounting it higher and more in the center of the house would be advisable but not practical. Practical being wife not liking the appearance of router in the center of the great room.
