Great commuter bag, too cumbersome

I was given this backpack and it's a great option for someone who wants a LOT of padding and lots of space for folders/notebooks/etc. The quick-access pocket in the front is handy and while I don't use all the internal organization, it's appreciated. The padding on the back and straps is also quite sufficient. I can see how this would be an ideal commuter bag for lots of people. Unfortunately for me, the pack itself is relatively heavy and stiff and I find it to be rather cumbersome (fwiw I'm a 5'7", somewhat petite person). This pack has three compartments (laptop, main, front) and I could do with just the front and one combined main/laptop compartment - if you made a "slim" version, that would be my ideal. I also have back issues and this pack did well for that in terms of it's design and shape, but the heft was too much in addition to the laptop/etc. I need to carry.

I was given this bag for my last job when I got my work computer. I loved the bag so much that they let me keep it when I left. I still use it every day. I've looked for nicer bags, but I haven't found one. It's just the right size, has pockets in exactly the right places you need them to be, and looks really nice. I've worn it down a lot, but I will probably just buy another one when it expires.

The grey color has a yellow hue to it. It makes it seem cheap. It's probably due to the fact that it's made from recycled bottles. I would rather have one that isn't made from recycled material that maintains its color.

I'm so glad I bought this backpack. It's sleek, substantial, stands on its own. For features, and I guess I missed this on the description, I wish there were a pocket in the padded computer section for wires; wouuld be a lot more convenient. But that's super minor. I bought this for myself when I got a new job, and feel really good about the commitment to recycling. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Purchased this backpack as a replacement for a previous Targus backpack. The prior one was and is great - years of service and no trouble. It just had one zippered opening that could be tricky to use. After several years I decided to try the Cypress. I'm really happy with it. It's roomy but slim with great organization and it's easy to open all the compartments.

I love this backpack! My laptop is well protected with the padded slot toward the back, and several other compartments afford plenty of space for organizing. It is lightweight - a necessary feature for the amount of stuff I pack into it - and well-constructed. I especially appreciate the simple and sophisticated look which is perfect to carry me from home to work, and on to other activities.
