Straps are terrible

I was looking for another Targus backpack to replace my old Targus, which I used for school, now that I'm working and need a sleaker look. This bag is well constructed - I like the material, it's well padded and comfortable, spacious, and organized. However, the airplane-seatbelt material they randomly used to connect the straps to the bag are horribly ill-planned. It means the bag starts flailing as soon as you take one strap off. You can't for a moment keep it on one shoulder while you're taking something out or trying to get somewhere quickly. This material is also used in the strap adjuster and I find it gets engaged too easily so I felt it would be quick to wear out and make the bag less reliably customizable going with wear. The actual straps are well padded though and comfortable, but the connector ruined the whole thing. I can't speak to longevity or water resistance, but besides the straps I would've called this backpack make perfect. It's very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
