ASUS works in resolving internal internet signals throughout the house. The instructions need to be clear on whether the original modem is to be removed OR be connected to the ASUS unit to become another modem along with the second unit being the node.

Tried another mesh system and nothing but problems with connections and speed. The ZenWiFi XD6 is great ! Easy to set-up. It is a bit weird that the two units needed to be next to each other to set-up but I moved them after set-up with no problems. Liked the parent controls and web access to system. They have an app but not as useful and no information on screens. One nice feature is that you can assign separate channels for quest network (2.4/5 GHz). This is very handy when setting up older devices like camaras, which only operate on 2.4 GHz. The speeds were solid. I check them at the devices and the router and no differences. I would recommend the router and buy ASUS again.

I had one hiccup so far that required multiple factory resets and firmware updates via restoration mode on one of the nodes. It was stuck in a reboot cycle. Very frustrating but it's been great since then and provides much better coverage and control than the router that was provided by my ISP.
