First strap I like enough to use

What a great design! I shoot lots of sports with large lenses, and never like any options I tried, but the Slide is perfect. It hangs the camera and lens very comfortably when not shooting, and slides effortlessly into position when needed. I like how easy it is to adjust the length, that I can quickly change the attachment points for different setups. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

STRAP REVIEW
on November 22, 2020

The product is worth the purchase, overall. The GOOD: strap material & plastic hardware. The ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: cushion grip & body stays. STRAP: tight weave of soft material = strong & comfortable; sparse array of grip along cushion = poor connection against clothing. HARDWARE: light & rigid plastic = easy to use & reliable to support gear; oval body stays = difficult to use with the wide loop of the anchor. The strap is easy to adjust and comfortable to hike with. I wear it cross-body, so the cushion doesn't alight too well with my shoulder (even with one side extended completely and the other synched), but it's designed more for just up around the neck so this is understandable. I opted to use the triangular body stays that came with my camera instead of the oval ones because they are more compatible with the clip anchor.
Thank you to the Peak Design team for a great product!

Not Budget-friendly? Yes. Unique? Yes.

I have no purchased two. These are so unique and versatile it's like having essentially 3 pieces of kit in one. It fits nicely in my bag and fellow photographers always ask me where I got my strap from because they've never seen anything like it before. I enjoy being able to go from moving shots with the camera around my neck to the camera on a tripod with three clicks, one for my tripod.
There is a price to pay for this, however, and it looks like people are aware of it. There is nothing else like this out on the market currently and I will continue to stand by Peak Design's products and their innovation.

Extremely Comfortable

I have had my fair share of straps, I have a whoppingly huge Nikon D850 and sometimes with a bigger lense it can be heavy and uncomfortable to carry. But this strap makes it so comfortable and love that you can unclip it, then transfer it to the field pouch! :D

Quality strap upgrade
on December 17, 2020

Purchased this for a Sony A7III and 24-105G. Very comfortable in the sling configuration with the lens pointing down while walking around. This is especially important with such a large lens so that it's not banging off things, and you can bring it up for a shot very quickly. In my opinion, this is a great strap for this size mirrorless body, even though the description says this is suited for larger pro/prosumer bodies. Like guitars, I store my strap separate from the body and attach when needed. So the simplistic anchor system is a big plus in my book. Yes, there are cheaper straps on the market, but we've all heard the same thing about cheap tripods too: By the time you end up replacing 3-4 cheap ones, you would have been better off investing in the quality product from the start. Not to mention the investment that strap is supporting.
