So good, I bought two!

Ok, so a while back I bought a Nikon D750. The original strap was ok, but I didn't like yelling at the world in big yellow letters "HEY! LOOK AT ME - I OWN AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA, IT'S A NIKON - ARE YOU JEALOUS??? WOULD YOU LIKE TO STEAL IT?"
I needed something quieter and more functional.
I trolled around and found a video starring this weird bearded guy from a company called Peak Design. He was demonstrating something called "Slide".
I watched. I liked his goofy nature and self-effacing style. I liked the guy, and that meant I had to like the company.
I bought one - a Slide that is, not a company. Who wants that stress?
The Slide is brilliant. Believe the advertising, it's a truly beautiful piece of design and engineering. Beautiful material, beautiful fittings.
The Slide makes carrying around a 5kg camera and 500mm lens rig a breeze, and when you need to stick the viewfinder to your face in a hurry it's all so easy, just reach back, grab the grip, and slide the camera up.
When you don't want the gear bashing you in the hip as you walk in search of your latest photographic masterpiece you just shorten the strap and slide the rig into the small of your back. Having a non-slip shoulder pad is a godsend! So much thought went into this strap.
Oh yeah, the heading says I bought two. Well, that's true. When I bought my Nikon D850 the first thing I did was order another Slide. Two cameras, two Slides. Perfect.
Go on, buy one.
You know you want to!

Efficient and effective

Travelling with a full-frame Nikon meant walking around with a heavy camera, changing shoulders to distribute weight, and worrying about secirity - the PD slide changed all of that. It's sturdy, comfortable and distributes the weight of the camera evenly across my body. More importantly, I no longer need to worry about someone grabbing my camera off my shoulder. The cross-body design ensures my camera is safe and secure. Additionally, it's quick and easy to remove the strap for storage, when using a tripod, and packing into my carry-on baggage. The materials in the strap are of high quality and the design is efficient. Highly recommended.

Peak Design Slide

Having tried a number of cheap sling, strap and harness solutions I decided to bite the bullet and try the Peak Design Sling. This was over twice the price of the solutions I had tried in the past and had never liked.
Instantly the quality of the sling, packaging and camera strap loops impressed. I have been using it with my Nikon D750 with a big, heavy Sigma 20-200 F2.8 lens and it works brilliantly.
The weight carries well and comfortably and it converted me to the Peak Design solutions and all of my (very many) cameras are slowly getting their own quick release connectors!
Highly recommended!!!

WAY BETTER THAN THE STRAPS THAT COMES WITH THE CAMERAS

I purchased the Slide and used a couple of times now. It fits better in the camera than the standard straps than comes with them. It is way easier to remove from the camera and there are several positions one can use the camera, not only the standard one provided by the standard straps - this is very helpful for big cameras with big lenses.

I thought the strap I had was ok, until I bought the slide. Then I realized my strap was sh@t. The slide is versatile and fast. I don't mind carrying my camera for hours. It's always comfortable and always ready. Also gray for shooting video to keep the camera steady.

Sturdy straps, clever system; need better metal rings

Recently used my new Slide strap on an 8 mile hike. It did the job well when the xamera was out. My shoulder wasn't too tired afterwards. I'd recommend vetter metal rings where the strap attaches to the camera as well as a plastic fingernail to aid in attaching. Otherwise I like the system.

I tend to over-research everything so I was super stoked when I finally came across this product vs the other darker faster brand I was about to pull the trigger on. The design was smart and most of all versatile so I could choose exactly how I like. This is important for a strap on. I like one on the plate and one on the body and I'm good to go so I like how the design made that a possibility. I now own two of these and they've never let me down. What was super commendable about the company was when "snap gate" went down the company contacted every customer and sent new anchors right away. The old ones were fine but they updated the design and took us with them. Super cool.

Purchased the slide camera strap for my GH5. Love it. Such a night and day difference between my old strap and the slide.
