Great strap, just need the silicon on both sides!

I've worked professionally for 20+ years and have a draw full of straps/carry systems and these are easily the best. Easy to clip on and off, easy to adjust the length, wide so it comfortable for all day use. But I do have one niggle, which isn't for everyone, but as a guy using them with two camera and different lens, I like to have them on my shoulders for ease of movement and putting one down when I'm getting a low angle shot but always find myself having to double check I've got the silicon side down. Please can we have a version with silicon on both sides!!! (and a version without for those that don't like it). Then these would be pretty perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would have given it 5 stars if my first one didn't ruin my shirt after it aged.

I love this strap and to prove that I have gotten a second one after the first one ruined a few shirts on the trip. I travel and hike with this strap and the capture and they are totally amazing. Comfortable and flexible the utility of the systems from peak design is a conversation I have people when a fellow photographer sees me on the trail 8-9 miles in with my Cannon R. The only reason I have reduced a star is when the sticky material on the black strap started to deteriorate(after 4 years of use and honestly abuse) it has left black marks on my shirt that I have never been able to get out. I have since replaced the strap wit the grey and I hope it won't have the same effect after owning this strap for years.
Tried on track last weekend, super comfortable and resistant, holding my Canon 300mm 2.8 lens + ff reflex, super happy with this purchase
I would recommend this to a friend!

Greatly improved

I have just had my 2016 Slide replaced under your lifetime warranty scheme. I must say the new Slide is an improvement especially the "sticky" side which is now ribbed with silicone rather that the strips that were used previously. I would have given it 5 stars but I don't like the adjustment for length is not as slick as with the original version being at the rear rather than in front. Hopefully I'll get used to it. The Peak Design support staff have been really helpful too and should be congratulated.
And it came to the UK all the way from California.

Two issues

I would give this 5 stars, but I had one issue and it may have been user error, but there two things I would like see improved. I used the tripod mount feature to connect both ends of the strap and this causes two problems. First (and the worse of the two) is that it came unscrewed and my camera dropped to the ground. It was from waste high and I was lucky that I received no damage. And second, because of using that mount I am unable to quickly switch to a tripod mounting bracket.
The good part of the strap is that it does as advertised for ease of adjusting and pulling the camera up for a shot or to keep it in place by simply flipping the strap over to the gripping side.
I have simply decided not to use the provided addon to connect to the tripod mount - it is not worth the risk of damaging my camera and hinder my ability to use a tripod.

Brilliant but could be 3 inches longer

As a backpack hiker, it's really comfortable, and pairs perfectly with a backpack clip for hauling a DSLR across the Grand Canyon. You're never just holding your camera, there's always something supporting it.
Mild quibbles: * Tendency to slowly slide over the course of a day with a zoom lens on. * As a 6'5" person who's paranoid about dropping his camera, I wish it was 3-6 inches longer so I could keep it around my neck and put it in the belt holster at the same time.

Comfortable, sturdy, and easy-to-use strap (and good customer service)

I purchased the previous version of the strap where the black non-slip material started melting off and smearing on the strap and my clothes. I contacted Peak Design, who provided me the new version with this issue resolved at no charge. I haven't used it for very long so can't say if that particular issue is resolved, but the new non-slip material does seem to be more solid. The strap itself is easy and smooth to adjust, and comfortable and sturdy. My only gripe is that it does gradually slip over time, which is expected, but still leaves me wishing that there was a better mechanism to lock it at a particular length.

Got the grey narrower strap - very nice! My only (big) gripe is that the strap is so stiff that if creates bulk by curving where attached to the camera. This could have been improved by adding a small sliding loop like on a belt to keep the strap "loop" as flat as possible. (Or a slighly softer strap.)
