Tiny, Fast, Great Back-up Drive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice addition to the standard SSD on my computer. I use it as a back up just in-case either of the hard-drives fail. I did not choose to use it on start-up as the performance benefits are negligible. The size benefits of the new M.2 SSD is amazing. I am using a 250G M.2 and it is roughly 1/8th the size of a standard SSD.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Installation doable with tutorials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good value for the money and even though I wasn’t sure if I’m able to install it, YouTube had a lot of tutorials available to help with the installation. It’s an inexpensive way to add storage and speed to your laptop so if that’s what you are struggling with, I’d recommend this even if you don’t have much experience with fixing laptops.

IT WORKS IN A PC ALSO

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We kind of messed up. We bought this to upgrade the storage and processing on my Acer Chromebook. ALAS! My model is not up-gradable (soldered onto the mother board :( ). Fortunately (for my husband), it worked VERY VERY nicely in his gaming PC. He has noticed increased speed and a TON of extra storage in addition to the 750 GB that were already on his computer. GREAT Product!

I know this isn't the fastest version of their NVMe PCIe SSDs, but I just needed something inexpensive for a PCIe-X1 add-on board having an M.2 mount (the M.2 connector on the motherboard is already populated). This gave me an extra 1TB for my test VMs, and it is way faster than my SATA HDD. I need to add that Kingston has great educational material concerning this new technology (at least for me), and it's worth spending a couple hours studying since it seems to have a bright future.
