New home for my camera for all day to day shooting

I thought I would be satisfied after my first camera bag... now with 2 backpacks, a messenger bag, and two camera totes I believe I have found a long term solution in the 3L everyday sling. It's perfect for grab-and-go events and keeps my Sony a7Riii with a Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS E-Mount Lens attached just perfectly. I have an extra battery, lens cleaning brushes (lenspen) and a few other small accessories. I have just enough room to squeeze a Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA E-Mount Lens if I want it for my shoot. I love being able to use this bag as a hip back and should sling. I take my camera with me so much more now with the versatility this pack provides.

Excellent Size, but could be improved

I will compare the 5L (discontinued) vs the 3L. For really minimalist carry for a Fuji X100, I used a Field Pouch. I wanted a slightly larger bag for the X100 and a water bottle and sunglasses. The 3L is a nice size for this carry. I use the 5L for a Sony A7III with room left over. The biggest downside of the 3L is the front pouch. On the 5L, the pouch extends to the bottom of the bag and just slightly above the zipper. On the 3L, the pouch extends to the top of the bag, but they shortened the bottom to around 3/4 inches from the bottom for no reason. There is a lip over the zipper, which combined with a stiff water resistant zipper makes getting things in and out of the pocket very difficult. It is even hard to get a surgical type face mask in. This combined with the lack of a interior flat back pocket makes it hard to fit medium sie flat items in the bag. If they added a open slash exterior pocket on the back, this would be the perfect small-medium bag. The lack of a quick access pocket for miscellaneous items really limits this bag. The front pocket is so bad, you wonder if the designers every tried to use the pocket. The interior dividers are shorter on the 3L vs 5L, the 5L dividers are slightly too tall for the 3L bag. The gussets on the front flat are very well done compared to the 5L.

Great sling, but lacks comfort.

The sling is very neat. It has good good features and I like the structure and overall look a lot! However, it's not the greatest for insulated water bottles or comfort. Most insulated water bottles are too tall for it and the materials aren't the best against skin. They're durable and comfortable as long as I wear a jacket that covers my neck, but if I happen to not be wearing a jacket nor a hoodie, it rubs against my neck and it is not comfortable. Still very good option!

I bought the bag for a citytrip. The 6l one had enough space for my Sony a6600 and a small waterbottle plus all the small things one needs for a day. Additionally I used the caputre clip which was also really practical.

The design and construction are exceptional. We like the peak dividers although this bag (6L) is a little small for use with a camera with attached lens + an extra lens. With a smaller camera and or smaller lenses it would be perfect. I can use the bag to hold one cam with lens, camera body detached with two lenses or three medium sized lenses. For us another liter or two of volume in the width would have been perfect. That said it’s a great bag that I can highly recommend.

Everyday workhorse - 6L sling for travel

I got the 6L everyday sling for an overseas vacation to fit my Nikon Z6, 24-70 2.8, and 24-200. It worked great! It was a bit tight with 2 big lenses but it fit my needs just right. I also fit 2 backup batteries, 3 backup memory cards, and a lens pen. Everything I needed for travel photography. Other lenses would have fit better, but it worked great for what I needed it for. It withstood a light rain hiking about and kept things dry. I wouldn't call it waterproof, but water-resistant for sure. It wore great for hiking about and was easy to store on the bus and airplane while keeping my gear protected. Very glad I had this for my trip.

I kept looking for a great camera bag but didn’t like any of the many options out there. Then I saw an intriguing video from Peak Design on YouTube. Turns out, this company is a unicorn! They make innovative products that meet real needs, elegantly, AND they have fantastic videos showing you how to get the most out of their gear. I bought the 6L Sling and it has made my life so much easier. I had been toting around a heavy, awkward bag and now I’m traveling light with my Sling and I looove it! I can’t wait to add their brilliant, travel-friendly tripod to my kit. And the Capture! Love the employees featured in the videos—fun people creating thoughtfully designed products. The icing on the cake is that they care about the environment and are carbon neutral. Unicorn!
