Not a good design for a Peak Design Bag

I own a number of Peak Design products including tripod, backpacks , numerous camera straps but this is the most poorly designed product. I needed a small bag for my everyday camera bag and there are a number of ergonomic problems with it.
First, for a company that revolutionized camera straps, the strap on the bag is awful. Unlike Peak Design camera straps, the quick adjust is only on one side and the wrong side of the bag if you are right handed and wear the bag on the left side of your body. It is impossible to adjust the bag without having to take it off.
Secondly the strap is a thinner and poorer quality than the camera straps. They should have use the same strap as the slide lite - it would have been better overall.
My everyday camera is a medium sized mirrorless, Nikon Z6III with 50mm lens. So not a big system but it barely fits in the bag, annoyingly the bag could have been made to open wider and slightly deeper to to make it easier to use. My Z8 wont fit unless I size up to 10L.
You cant reach the memory card holders on the far right and left side of the bag because the zipper doesn't open wide enough.
Minor annoyance but it is nearly impossible to read the serial number of the bag because it is buried in an impossible to reach location.
Peak Design could have done a lot better with this bag. This is a big disappointment for me given the price.

Not as good as expected, and one fatal design flaw

I am quite disappointed with my Everyday Sling V2 10l (color: ash). I bought this bag as a result of glowing reviews on the web and my great experiences with the Slide strap, but I very quickly noticed that the bag is not as good as it could have been. Is is less useful and usable than my other sling-style photo bags and seems to be more designed for form than function, although I don't think it's truly successful with respect to form either.
Minor issues: The material seems robust but its feel is way too rough. I don't think it is able to damage any clothes, as some other reviewers mentioned here, but for a premium product, the haptics are underwhelming. It's very stiff (without actually offering much protection) and plasticky, it's rough, it just doesn't feel right. It might be purely a matter of taste but I also don't like that the strap is obtrusively shimmery, as opposed to matte.
Medium issues: Due to the fairly rigid tortoise shell shape, there is less available space in practice than expected. When, e.g., divided into three parts using the FlexFold dividers, the outer sides of the main compartment are significantly less deep than the middle. This makes it hard to fit medium size lenses (oriented in depth direction) at the bottom of the outer sides.
The FlexFold dividers are quite rigid and not as protective as I would ideally like them to be. Simple padded dividers would have been much preferable here. No matter how I try to optimize storage for my gear, some space is always wasted and invariably stays empty.
The front pocket does not expand much and thus barely fits anything of substance. This is exacerbated when using FlexFold dividers in the main compartment that push against the front pocket. Similarly, when using the dividers, it is very cumbersome to pack or take out a tablet/laptop from the back pocket, as the dividers push against that as well and bend the overall shape of the pocket.
Major issue: The bag has one fatal design flaw. I should NOT have to completely unthread and reinstall the strap just to change the side of carry! I want to carry the bag sling-style across my left shoulder when not shooting (as I am right handed), and quickly change it to my right shoulder after taking out the camera, as then, I will be using the camera cross-body on my left shoulder and want to balance out the weight. And I cannot, without taking, like, 5 minutes to completely change the strap alignment, which is an absolute no-go in the field.
There are very two obvious solutions to this, and I am surprised neither has been chosen: Either, offer two separate quick adjustment buckles, one on each side, instead of just one. Or, make the padded part of the shoulder strap movable/slidable itself, something that other manufacturers' bags provide in a perfect implementation. Or offer both! I can't believe this hasn't been thought of, as I'm sure this is a very common use case when actually using the bag in the field. That I am effectively unable to quickly change carry sides of the bag disables the main use case for me.

10L sling is great!

I love it, i use it as an everyday bag to the office. It fits my 13 inch dell latitude 7390 pretty well. (A little tight but it works) plus charger, phone charger, power bank, some lotions, pens and sunglasses plus a little more.
Im giving it 3 stars for durability and built quality. I love the design, i love the color and the strap mechanism.
Sadly there are a lot of threads pocking out, front bag isnt easy to access and the flex dividers dont seem like they will last.
In conclusion, i love it, wish it would sturdier and better constructed+ weatherproofing.

Poor product from disappointing company

Even at a discount this is an awful product. It’s clunky and stiff, doesn’t allow for carrying of anything beyond a small notebook, and sits awkwardly because of how stiff the material is. A mediocre carry bag and a horrible camera bag. Just another disappointing product from an equally disappointing company.

Great feminine style bag!

I really want to like this bag. The features are fantastic and it's an incredibly functional bag... but.. I wish they would of went with a longer body style than a taller design following on a actual sling bag side of things. It's more of a purse than anything. Looks great on my girlfriend, for now I will be sticking to my V1.
I bought the largest size and it is still too small. I do like the bag in terms of design, but it is a very tight squeeze to get my equipment in. I have to fit it exactly or I can’t zip it, even the pocket in the front is hard to get items in and out of. I would really like this bag a lot if it was slightly bigger and roomier.

More like “Weak Design“

This is marketed as something that can be worn around the waist. It’s not. The 6L strap is way too large for my women’s Size 12 hips. I’m not a skinny person, but it’s a joke to say that you can wear this around your waist. The bag itself is fine. Nothing special. I’m so horribly disappointed.
