Badly Corroded in a Year.

I bought this frame kit a year ago to hold the griddle pan to sear fish on the grill. One year later, the frame ("plated steel") is badly corroded after a summer and winter in the side compartment of my genesis grill. I'm not a happy camper. I would have gladly paid the cost for stainless steel. Weber products are usually not so shabby and low-quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend using a product like Bar Keeper's Friend to remove corrosion, washing with dish soap and water, and then rinsing it clean.
