This is a great accessory and really helps to cook everything evenly - it did take me a few tries to figure out how to load it by myself as there is no base to hold the ends in place so it is a little bit of a challenge to get them loaded onto the ends. I've used them a few times and it does get easier the more you practice with it. My friends were duly impressed with the way it integrates with the rotisserie and I liked not having to take breaks in the conversation to rotate everything.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this set in mid May and the unit I got broke when I was installing the holding plates to the spit for it's first use. The nut that holds the thumbscrew to the spit just fell off while I was turning it so I couldn't mount it to my spit. Weber customer service contacted me and Weber does back their products and have sent me a new unit. I used it for the first time the day it arrived and have nothing but great things to say about the Weber Crafted rotisserie set. I have only rated it 4 stars because I feel the weak link of this set is the way the hold down nuts are attached to the side plates. One other con for some is the fact that to use the bottom skewer you must start the rod through the opening in the plate then attach the food as your pushing the rod through, the other 5 skewers can be loaded normally. It wasn't a big deal for me just giving an opinion. I cooked 2 dozen chicken wings on it that were as good as or better than restaurant quality. I used 4 of the 6 skewer rods but I would say you could do up to 48 wing pieces at one time. Cooked them for 1 hour on my Weber kettle @ 350 indirect heat and then 5 minutes with the coals directly under the wings. I own many Weber products, this is the first time I've ever had an issue but I have to say Weber does stand behind their products. The unit is really easy to assemble on the spit, I got it all set up, evenly spaced, and locked down before I began loading food. Another positive for me is how the skewer rods lock into the backing plate. Clean up was also very easy and you get a storage pouch for when it's not being used. I enjoyed using this product and I would certainly recommend it to anyone considering this type of add-on for their rotisserie.

Seriously?

Was looking forward to using this item. Past up on a few other vendors for Weber quality and ignore the reviews about the thumb screw weld, figured just overzealous barbecuers (sorry guys) went nice and easy in it and yep… welds broke on thumb screw. Seriously Weber for what you’re charging I think we all expect quality. Stop outsourcing and let’s get back to your quality products before you lose a lot of clients.

Nut doesn't hold. Spot weld needs to be stronger..

The nut that holds the eye bolt that secures the skewer (on the side pieces) to the rotisserie rod popped off the first time I used it. I didn't over tighten it, the nut came off when I turn the bolt the first time. The actual skewers are nice, but the side piece needs to be redesigned.

The skewers came damaged a couple of them and I had to straighten them out the best I could , they do not sit right have a little bow to them so when it rotates they work themselves out at one end ...the stainless setup is nice I just wish it worked right for the price i paid for it

The nut weld broke after one use. The product is now essentially useless. This is not up to the typically high Weber standards.

Great quality product. Fun to use. Takes a minute or two to set up, but I’ve used it three times now since getting it; about every other weekend, and really enjoy it. Chicken and vegetable kebabs take about 20 minutes on my Genesis 330; lamb cooks a little quicker. Next up; pork loin with pineapple kebabs. Just be sure to have a good pair of gloves handy; the metal skewers stay hot for a bit after removing from the grill. I remove the whole spit rod; attachment still on; put it on a tray and set it aside to cook for a few minutes before removing the individual skewers.
We have used the rotisserie only a few times and it has worked out well. I stopped following directions on how to prepare food on it after the first use. It is more fun to wing it and try different things. It is a wonderful tool.
