Versatile, even baking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Weber Crafted Glazed Baking Stone is a versatile, well made, heavy duty accessory for my Weber Genesis grill, and I am very, very happy with it. Short review, I love it, and you should pick one up. Longer review below!
The Glazed Baking Stone came well packaged, and in pristine condition. Encased inside a foam casing, and inside a cardboard box, Weber made sure the product arrived safely and ready to go.
First impression was that it was heavy and beautiful. It is a bit slippery, and with the weight, it does make me a bit nervous that I might smack it against the corner of my granite countertop and shatter it, though I don’t know if that would happen…it’s just what if feels like what will happen.
Still, it is exceptionally crafted, emblazoned in bottom with the Weber Logo (pictured). The top is smooth and has a nice sheen to it.
It fits perfectly with my Weber Genesis grill…you only need to remove the grates on the right side and lower the baking stone in its place. There are two notches to help you pick it up and place it down, which is very handy and appreciated.
After preheating the grill and getting the stone hot, you are ready to cook. The manual is particularly handy, and it gave me the idea that you can cook cookies on it (something I’d never considered) but works great. Pizza was my obvious choice for cooking, and the Stone certainly shines in that capacity.
Clean up is a breeze, as the stone is so smooth, but you aren’t to submerse it in water or put it in the dishwasher. I wipe it with a damp cloth or paper towel, dry it off, and place it back in the foam case it came in.
The stone will last a long time, provided it isn’t dropped, so I’m extra careful when carrying it. I really am excited for all the possibilities it offers, and it gets me closer to being able to create any food I want outside, on the grill.
Obviously I’m a big fan, and recommend! I look forward to picking up more accessories from Weber for my Genesis!

Cracked stone

We bought a new genesis grill 3 weeks ago and were so excited to have the ability to have a specific space for the pizza and still be able to grill on the other side. We did enjoy the pizza and fajitas we made. On the 2nd use the pizza stone cracked in half. We followed the directions and were very disappointed to have this happen from such a quality product

I havevused my glazed baking stone a few times and it works great. It does take some getting practice to figure out how long to cook and if you should be using direct or indirect heat. The first pizza was a thicker crust than thin it came out good but not perfect. It probably would have been better with indirect heat. But back to the stone. Nothing has stuck to it. It does what it is supposed to in a great way. I highly recommend this if you think you might like grilled pizza

Easy to use and so much fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this Glazed Baking Stone from Weber. It fits my Weber Genesis E-335 Gas Grill perfectly. I was impressed by how easy it is to install. I love that all the Weber Crafter Accessories are interchangeable, it makes it so quick and simple to switch out accessories. I have baked frozen pizza, homemade pizza and cookies on this baking stone and they all came out perfect! The pizza crust comes out deliciously crispy in a way that I can't achieve in the oven. Its been so much fun baking different foods on this stone and I cannot wait to try out more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I would give this glazed baking stone an 8/10.
Personally, I think the idea of using the grill for baking cookies or making a home-made pizza is a great idea. In practice, though, I don't know if I'll personally get as much use out of it as others will. Second, while some of the other items you can place on the wire frame kit are visually appealing, this baking stone is pretty average from a visual standpoint. It does, however, fit flush on the wire frame kit, as intended.
I baked a home-made pizza on this, and the other downside I would say is that you have to be careful with how wide you make your pizza since it probably only holds the size of a pizza that's in between the standard size for a medium and a large. That being said, its performance was great. The pizza came out wonderful and I did not have any issues with the pizza sticking to the stone.
Due to functionality, price, and visuals, I would limit this to an 8/10.

This stone cooks an amazing pizza. Absolutely the best crust and a quick cook too. Its pricey and I hope it holds up long term. We use it once a week just for pizza.
