[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I researched air purifiers before buying the BISSELL® air220 Air Purifier. I have cats, and I wanted clean air. I could not be happier with my purchase and now own 3 units, spaced throughout my house. I take out the first pref-filter screen and use a mini blower to clean it and am amazed at how much it has picked up weekly. Our house is clean - but air isn't! I love that it traps dust, pet dander, pollen and according to data Viruses! It also looks better than most air filters and blends in a room decor Much better than many plastic models that look cheap but cost a lot of money. I also purchased my brother this same unit and my best friend owns 2 of them and we are all happy. My brother has asthma and can really tell the difference in his breathing. You really can't go wrong with this model. I also like Bissell is an American company! :)

To what we don't know for sure, but starting in the home was the best idea to me. We removed all the carpets and had the duct work cleaned. It helped, but not enough. I chose this product because of the amenities and the reviews. It works wonders. I move it from room to room every other day and after I vacuum and dust. The dust on the furniture is less than 1/2 and there are no odors, even after cooking, it really cleans the air. We have a cat (husband doesn't react to the cat) and it even eliminates any litter box odors. It's quiet, unless you turn the fan on high. It monitors the air and the color of the light on the front lets you know what the quality is. It's light weight and the cord wraps at the back. I'm very happy with the purchase!
