Although it's hard to know if an air purifier is really working, the Bissen air220 does kick into a higher fan speed when I start cooking. We also did some staining and painting and it recognized those smells as well and increased the fan speed. When I come home now, I don't smell last nights dinner anymore. The design is nice with the venting on the top and the cord storage. It sounds like a fan running, not loud or annoying. It does quiet down when the lights go out too. I am very happy with my purchase.

With different levels for how strong it blows allows me to control the air in the room. I've even been able to use it as a small air conditioner to save money on the electric bill. Unless it's on some sort of flooring that makes it that way or they installed something incorrectly, I don't see how. Even on the highest fan setting it's pretty darn quiet! This unit has absolutely helped with the dust and pet dander.

Love this air purifier. I have this in our bedroom right off the living room and kitchen area. It is great. The 1st day within a few hours my air in the house just felt different. Normally when I get up in the morning my throat, mouth and nose is dried out. Been using this Bissell Air Purifier 220 for several days and it has made my sleep a difference. So glad I bought it.
