The build quality is spot on, however there is a definite learning curve with this. If your used to a traditional stroker
you will need to do a bit of practicing, get your mate to help! It is noisy if your member exits the device, I've learned to keep my hand to the top so you still have some kind of contact on the top of your cock. the pulsing is not like a vibration it's very distinct, kind of a pressure. I have other Masturbators that are more the norm but this one, with practice might end up on my regular list.

I was surprised at how well this worked! I would give it five stars but it’s lacking the ‘licking ability’ of a tongue-like feeling on the frenulum. However, it feels great! You just have to figure out the right amount of lubricant and the strength of the vibrations. Give it a try. It’s different but explosive.

The Arcwave Ion functions similar to the female Rose toy with powerful air technology that finishes you comparably fast by concentrating on the most sensitive area, and even faster if you have some help from your spouse.
At 5 inches, all except the top of my head fits into the Ion, making the experience that much better if you have a shorter length. Having considerable thickness (about 6" of girth), the sleeve is very comfortable and stretches for a great snug fit for those with more girth.
It is pretty loud, though that can be subjective for your own personal situation and surroundings.
I would recommend this item even at full price.

I honestly need another one.

People have said that it takes time to get used to it, but that doesn't mean that it's not pleasurable in the beginning. From first use, I enjoyed the throbbing sensations it gave me, then one day it was suddenly my go to toy. Now my only problem is forgetting to charge it after use, as some sessions go on for a while. The only con is that its extremely loud, which isn't ideal if you're living with an in-law or other family/friend/roommate you'd rather not hear it.
I'm hoping they release a newer model that somehow offers even more pleasure with half the amount of sound, if not completely muffled. Even then, I'd still come back to this one when I'm waiting for that one to charge.

Corrosion on contacts after six months

I used this for about half a year and for that time I rather enjoyed it (my only real complaint for a while being the noise), but unfortunately the contacts used for charging have shown signs of corrosion and stopped functioning. I'm also apparently not alone in this issue as I was able to find several other people who had exactly the same problem.

I don't think I can ever go back to masturbating manually after using the Arcwave Ion.
When I first ordered the Arcwave Ion, I was apprehensive due to the mixed reviews. I was especially concerned by the complaints of noise and seemingly hit-or-miss nature of its use.
As others have noted the device can be loud, but it's really only apparent if you turn off the Smart Silence feature and remove your member. Even at its loudest, the sound of a shower running with a bathroom fan on is more than enough to mask the noise. Normal use (member inserted) sounds like any other vibrator, sort of a low/pulsating hum thats easily masked.
As far as use goes, it will take a few tries to get right. Although you can use it as a stroker, it's best used more as a massager. Small, short, strokes using the thumb to help press into the sucker works the best for me. Once you do find what works, it feels like electricity or shocks through your body as you build up.
Cleanup is extremely easy as well. Simply take the sides off and wash with soap and warm water. Dry them off, put them back together, and put it back on the charger.
