Lovely tool for a small woman, master gardener. No fumes, easy to maneuver; it overcomes all the difficulties encountered with a gas powered machine, including having a push button start. I will never go back to a gas powered machine, when something this easy to use exists.

Overall function of the cultivator is great. Out of the package the pins for the tines did not have enough clearance to fit. I had to grind the heads of the pins to fit. If a person had no tools that would give it a poor rating. The other negative is the plastic tine guard is too big. It needs to be half of that size. I thought about cutting it to a reasonable size so you can actually see where the tines are.

This is a cultivar to use on garden soils that has previously been broken up. It does a wonderful job around plants in rows to keep the soil loose and weed free. Machine was easy to assemble. Charged battery and went to work.

So I have only used it one day and this tiller still has a lot to prove so this is based off of my initial review. First of all, I like the responsible packaging. No Styrofoam! It comes mostly assembled. Easy to assemble. I put most of it together without looking at the instructions. I did however when it came to installing the tines (Don't want to get that wrong). Battery charged pretty quickly, but I was too anxious to get started so I took it off charge before it was finished. The tiller still ran over4 45 min. I was impressed. It really does have a lot of power! I quickly found that my soil was too wet to till and the tines kept gumming up, but the tines were very easy to clean and very easy to remove should you need to clean them more thoroughly or prior to putting it away for the season. I did find that you have to push the battery in pretty hard to snap it in, but it was not difficult at all. The only thing that I didn't like was the height of the handle. I felt my arms getting tired because I was having to hold them up so high and I'm 5'10". Also, the wheel base could be a bit wider. It tends to try and tip over when rolling it across uneven ground. I have a Greenworks 40V push mover, so I intentionally ordered this tiller so that I could interchange the batteries. So I have twice the work time. Something you might consider. I cant wait for the soil to dry out a bit to see what this tiller can really do. I highly recommend this tiller for anyone that has an small to average size garden.

I like the size and ability to get into a small area. Removing the battery from the cultivator has proven to be a very difficult process.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Michael46 We're sorry to hear that you are having problems with your battery from the tool. A quick tip for the battery compartment, you may need to push the battery back in slightly to release the tension, then pull down on the battery lock tab, and the battery should then pop up.
