Will not toast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster upon removing it from the box, looks great and is so sleek. When I went to use it for the first time I put my bread inside and pushed down the handle to start the toasting. After about 5 minutes I had forgotten about the toaster so I came back to check on it and the toast had not popped up so I unplugged it and the toast popped up with no toasting done to the bread at all. I tried moving the toaster to another outlet in my kitchen and tried again but this time staying with the toaster the whole time. When I tried it the second time I noticed that although the toast is dropped down into the toaster, the heating element never turned on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The proctor silex 2 slice toaster cooks bread, bagels, toaster strudels great! It cooks both sides sufficiently and thoroughly. It has simple buttons and is very easy to use. There is a bagel function allowing you to cook your bagel to perfection. There is 7 toast shades and a cancel button. It lifts shorter smaller bread higher to retrieve once done heating. Clean up is easy. You simply pull out the tray underneath and dump out the crumbs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a basic toaster that works as it should. I do like the outside being two colors, both silver and black. It has a easy to slide open crumb tray. You can choose bread or bagel. It has a cancel button on the knob to easily pop up your toast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Proctor Silex - 2 Slice Toaster about a week ago and I'm glad I did. It is very stylish and compact. It works well with my decor and in the limited space I have. It easily accommodates thick bread and bagels. It works very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Proctor Silex 2 slice toaster is one of the best toasters I have ever owned! I love how you can set it for lighter or darker toasting. It is wide enough to fit a large bagel and toasts it to perfection. Super easy to set up and it looks great on my counter tops. It matches my stainless appliances. Highly recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster has a classic, sleek design that I love. It has a function for bagels and a function if you just want to toast one piece of bread. The wider fit makes it easier to evenly toast thicker slices of bread and bagels. Also has a cancel button future on the turn dial. Heats up quickly and toasts evenly.
