Great Built-In Roku and Great Value

This small TV was just right atop a bureau in our guest room. Although I wouldn't choose it for a main set, its 24-inch screen is suitable for occasional or casual viewing. The 720p picture lacks the fine detail of larger sets with full HD or better resolution, but this difference is only noticeable within about 3 feet of the screen, so it's fine. The viewing angle, as with most inexpensive TVs, is quite narrow for good saturated colors, but it's still usable when you're not directly in front. The audio is loud enough, but there's no bass to speak of and nothing at all at audio frequencies below 150Hz.
The Roku interface is easy to use - the sole deficiency being a lack of number keys on the remote, requiring a lot of scrolling on the Roku Live Guide. The remote uses two AAA batteries, which are supplied. There's no voice function on this remote. The button in its place (with a crescent moon on it) is for a sleep timer. There are no control buttons on the TV itself.
You'll need a Philips head screwdriver to attach the two feet to the unit bottom, and a Roku account if you plan to use Wi-Fi and streaming programming.
There are 3 HDMI jacks, and composite video jacks (red/yellow/white) for older equipment you might like to connect. An optional antenna is required for over-the-air viewing.
A feature buried deep in the user manual allows pausing live TV received over an antenna. It requires that you supply and plug in a 16GB or larger flash drive.
Despite any limitations noted above, the very low price or this TV provides tremendous value, warranting a 5-star rating.
