Hi there! We appreciate your feedback. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the large oven window and the control knobs on the appliance. However, we are sorry that this range has not fully lived up to your expectations. It is normal for a slide-in range not to have an overlap to blend into the sides of the countertop. The volume of the timer/pre-heat signal can be adjusted. The Sound Volume feature allows the oven tone volume to be adjusted between high (Hi), medium (reg), low (Lo) and off (oFF). Enter into the special features menu and scroll through the options until “sound” is displayed and press 0. Scroll through the options until the desired setting is displayed. Press 0 to save the setting and then 6 to exit the menu. The selected sound option will play once 0 is pressed. Since your appliance is not reading off the accurate temperature, we recommend scheduling service with a GE Appliances technician to ensure everything in your oven is operating as designed.
