Trackpad seems inconsistent when left click/right click to get menus in various MS Office applications--sometimes a click will open two menus. Size and weight make it very portable. My use: primarily xls and email.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a laptop for grad school (engineering), and this is perfect. Switching between tablet and laptop mode seems strong so far. The sound and graphics are beautiful. I should have gone with the 16GB RAM option (instead of the 8GB). 4 stars because I wish it had more ports.

Serious letdown

I bought this laptop just over a year ago, had issues out of the box. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.... the dreaded black screen that requires a forced restart and the good ole random laptop freeze/crash. I've had to start a whole project over again because it my RScript got corrupted. As a data scientist, I can't have to restart my laptop every 5 minutes (an exaggeration? Definitely, but not by much). Lenovo support did NOTHING except tell me to keep my drivers and BIOS up to date (which I was doing on day one). Save your money, buy a MacBook.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Lenovo laptop! I’ve always had large laptops because I thought a smaller laptop would be difficult to work with, but Lenovo made the Yogo 9i nearly perfect!
The only issue I had was a game I was playing, Civ6, crashed a couple times. I researched the error prompt and it turns out I had to update my drivers. Not just that, but I also had to install the software to update my drivers. The driver update software app should have already been installed when I purchased it.

Overall a nice machine and a great display but it didn't perform the way I needed it to. In the end I returned the computer. My issues: - Pen lag. Could be worse, but should be better. - Pen pressure sensitivity isn't good at all and I could find no way to adjust it. I needed this to create artwork and it doesn't fit this need because you can't use pressure to dictate line quality. - Poor pen battery life. It does recharge quickly, but it really puts a kink in your workflow. If I had kept this machine, I would've had to purchase a second pen to circumvent this flaw. - Not waking up from sleep. Seriously, one of the worst bugs of all, and frankly unforgiveable. Why do so many PC laptops have an issue with this? To have to restart your laptop with the power button every time you walk away from it is a huge inconvenience. It's even a problem if I have left it open and it's gone to sleep. I tried a work around by changing the setting to hibernate, but still wouldn't wake up. Also tried a driver update as suggested by a tech, but it didn't help.
I did a lot of research before purchasing and really wanted this machine to work for me but, sadly, it did not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
