[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the 9i for 3 months.
The 2 Usb-C allows one for charging and the other to connect to a multi port hub. C Hub adaptors are available for about any old devise.
9i supports the future higher resolution TV.
Still having one USB-A port, allows for connection to a current standard thumb drive without having to take a hub to the coffee shop.
I like as promised how fast the 9i starts and shuts down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sleek and Powerful 2-in-1

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop for my sister for college, she is a fine arts major and she wanted to experiment with digital art. For it's regular laptop features, the 9i is great. It has over 15 hours of screen-on time, the intel i7 evo chip is very powerful and runs photoshop and premiere pro with ease. The screen is glossy and really nice to watch movies with. About the drawing and pen capabilities, it's great for notes and simple doodles, and with the right software it's also good for light professional work, the latency is manageable and the pen's rubber tip makes the drawing experience pleasant. Overall, this laptop is a great choice if you are a student or want to use it as a powerful ultrabook.

Great laptop with surprising performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this laptop for a few weeks now, and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by its performance. I purchased it on sale with the intention of getting something to replace a now dead tablet that had a pen. I wanted something large enough to write on by hand, but not too bulky, that stored the pen internally. This laptop checked all of the boxes.
Since I didn't want to do much taxing work with it, I got the model with only 8 GB of memory. That being said, Windows and the new 11th gen i7 really manage the memory well. Memory compression coupled with the super fast SSD and the fact that this computer has 4th gen PCIe make the lack of memory nearly impossible to detect, even with a ton of Chrome tabs open, which will usually cause my previous systems to lag noticably.
The screen is great - crisp, and bright when you want it to be, and I think the FHD resolution pairs well with the 14" screen size. I'm a real big fan of the way they integrated the webcam shutter into the bezel of the monitor - that was real slick. The pen is a little small, and the buttons on it are arranged a little awkwardly, but once you get used to it, the pen is very responsive on the screen as either a pointer or a writing device and the pressure sensitivity works well.
To me, the biggest surprise was how good the sound is from this laptop. Now, it's still a laptop, but the soundbar type hinge really impressed me. Both the volume and fullness of the output blow away either my older Lenovo ThinkPad T430, or my newer Asus ZenBook UX434.
The keyboard is alright. I'm not sure if it's the spacing or the firmness of the keys that makes typing a little awkward for me, but it's definitely serviceable. I'm writing this the review on the laptop, and it's doing a good job. The up and down arrow keys are a little weird, since they're super tiny, so if there was any real room for improvement, I'd say that it's there. The backlighting has two levels, which work well. The functions available on the special function keys are well thought out as well. The fingerprint reader works well and is quick. As for the trackpad - it works well, as does the palm rejection, and there is a satisfying click when you press down on it. It could be a little bigger though...
I think for what it is, the connectivity on this laptop is great. I'm really glad that it includes a USB-A port on it because the devices I use for work require the USB-A interface, and having to plug an adapter in would just be annoying. The two Thunderbolt 4 ports are super fast - I have a SanDisk Extreme external SSD, and I'm able to transfer files to and from it in absolutely no time at all. I also like the display port passthrough ability with the USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. I purchased the ThinkVision M14 monitor with this, and I can drive the monitor no problem. I'm thinking of getting a USB-C or Thunderbolt dock with power delivery for my at home use in the future.
Battery life is great. For my work related tasks and web browsing while running an email client, I can comfortably get through an entire 9 hour day without needing to bring the charger along with me.
The computer feels solid as well, despite being pretty light. There's no noticeable flex to the body or the screen, and it doesn't feel like if I were to hammer away at the keyboard that I would break it. In fact, it feels like it could take quite a pounding before something broke. I'm not going to test that voluntarily though.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. I think I will be able to use this for its intended purpose for years to come.
